Resumed playing this after about 3 months. Must have put 5 hrs into it this Easter and really getting into now. As someone who only went to London on business once a year, and possibly once a year with the family, it’s been great driving, walking, and drone flying around seeing the landmarks etc.

I’ve never got that far into the first 2 WD games but this one has caught my attention. Not unlocked many operatives and just managed to get my best one arrested. :fp:

It is great just to wander around and take London in. When it's raining, it looks incredible on next-gen consoles.

How was this game in the end? Been thinking of picking it up on PS5 soon as the thought of having an open world London is appealing.

It's good for exploring, with good mechanics (even if the driving feels off) behind it. The story is great, but unless you can form a connection with your squad of randomly generated Londoners, there's not going to be much of a connection to the story.

Something would be great if I picked it up for £20 then perhaps? I do like the look of it.

It looks beautiful, the rain effects and puddle reflections are truly next gen. The voice acting and language is different and it has some British humour.

Gameplay is boring, but it's still very enjoyable to just walk around.

I traded the game in but I do miss exploring London and if it's cheap digitally one day I'll get it again.

Yeah, I'd say around £20-30 is the best price range.

Does the PS4 version get a free PS5 upgrade? That’s £20.85 at Base today

EDIT: £19.07 on Amazon for the PS5 version :toot:

DOUBLE EDIT: Doesn’t look like that PS5 copy is in stock anymore, I’ll hold off until I can get it for under £20 again

Can’t wait to play it with the update and think it may look better without ray tracing as it doesn’t look great - low res and causes a lot of pop in on the buildings.

PlayStation 4 version upgrades to PlayStation 5 for free.

I've bought it in the PSN sale, looking forward to seeing more of London.

Try Game I got the ultimate edition with the season pass and everything plus a bonus £5 worth of game reward points for £29.99 , I owned it already so took my original version and traded it in at cex for £13 off some games. Also if you just want the base game check out pawn stores my local cash generator has sold both the Xbox and PS4 versions for £16 secondhand.

Update today. Might get the dlc if the game is much improved at 60fps.

I have heard both WDL an ACV will be released on GPU soon. Both have a lot of DLC, so definately a strong possibility.

Legion and Valhalla are currently on sale on Stadia too.

So, with that in mind, and since I was just tempted to buy both, it's a fair bet they're on their way to Gamepass at some point. I expect they won't arrive until I press the buy button, however.

It would be tremendous if they were, mind. I'm not even sure if I'd like Legion to start with having not played Watch Dogs before, but I'd definitely give it a go if they did hit GP.

Didn't realise the 60fps patch was out. I played some of it on PS4 but never bothered installing the PS5 version just now.

Was wondering why this wasn't working when I downloaded my PS5 save from the cloud. Turns out it used a separate system specific to the game where I have to load up the PS4 version on my PS4, upload the save from an in-game menu and then download it in the PS5 version from an in-game menu :simper:

That's the worst story I ever heard.

I've now freed all areas and unlocked all operatives. The game is stunning to look at. Easily the most detailed open world ever created.

The only technical issue is the voice acting, it's all over the place and poorly programmed. I got a new operative who met my current operative, a teen white girl meeting an old black lady.... Both had the same voice.

Story wise it's ok, gameplay is slow but enjoyable enough. But it's really as a London simulation that the game shines.

Wish my image sig would work
