Graphically that gameplay was really poor. The lighting and textures are so bland. :dread:

In agreement there. I don’t think ubisoft games ever have that layer of polish other studios put into there games. i.e the driving mechanics in gta V are still better than in any of the watch dog games i’ve played and better than what i’ve seen in the gameplay video.

Most interesting game of the show for me, and obviously getting it as its set in good old london town! Was pretty awesome seeing the footage in camden and hope it covers a large area of london!

AC Origins and Odyssey are 2 of the most visually beatiful games around at the moment, even AC 3 Remastered looks absolutely gorgeous in 4K but all 3 of these games look almost a generation ahead of that gameplay demo.

Easily the game of E3 for me so far. First half of next year is looking good with this, Cyberpunk and Bloodlines 2 so far.

Yeah, that's my take, too - I thought it looked great! There haven't been many games shown so far that I've been really excited about, but this is one of them.

It was terrific to see a recreation of London with authentic appearance and voicing; it's always wonderful to explore gameworlds set in varying locations but it feels like a change to be able to adventure in a setting a little closer to home.

Who would've thought a Watch Dogs game would out Cyberpunk Cyberpunk? Huh.

With the latter being basically another no-show, for whatever strawberry floating reason, this is also my game of the show so far. Which is insane.

Played both. Origins was great. Odyssey left me cold after playing Red Dead 2. I think it was the wonky horse riding. The animation of the rider and the horse looked like a child playing with a toy horse bobbing it back and forth.

Not sure what to feel about this. After one of my favourite things about 2 was the way it let you play non lethally almost all the way through, avoiding the character dissonance that so often comes with open world games, it's so disappointing to see the trailer for this go so full on with the guns and violence. Where's the hacker espionage? Improvised, guerilla disruption?

The city itself looks great, and a modern open world dystopian London sure has my interest, until it becomes a reality later next year, but that strawberry floating mockney accent in the trailer doesn't have me filed with confidence that it's actually going to be convincing, either.

Ha, I said the exact same thing in the currently playing thread, After Red Dead 2, Odysseys's horse riding animations are atrocious.

We need a campaign for the game to support playing without using guns.

If this is a popular British resistance against an extremist state, then a commitment against guns should be a given!

Always been interested in Watch Dogs but never had time to play one. This looks so good though :datass: that Camden train bridge

Yeah, I really wish they'd gone with no guns at all. I made a point of playing Watch Dogs 2 with no guns and I failed to see how having a pistol would have made things more fun.

Watch Dogs Legion is the most impressive E3 demo I've played in years

Let me tell you about Abe Welch. He's a hired goon who is now in a hospital. I put him there, after performing a melee takedown on him in Camden Market during a mission in Watch Dogs Legion. It was at this point I decided to save him to my collection of tracked people in the game. A menu screen tells me he hates Dedsec, no surprise after I knocked him out. But, having hacked into the hospital, I can now prioritise his care, which will begin to change his mind on Dedsec. From there, I can help him with the other troubles in his life, like his sister who's being harassed. Eventually, I will have the chance to win Abe Welch to my cause. If all goes well, he'll have gone from being a random enemy goon to my new playable character.

If this works as advertised, and as it works now according to the above, this could be something very special indeed.

Graphically it doesn't look impressive, so for once I am in agreement with Photek.

The character models look off. Especially the bare knuckle champion character. I'll probably buy this when heavily discounted though.

Interesting concept.
Maybe guns could be kept for things like major bank robberies but 99% of crimes would be gun free. It should also shock people to see guns in public as it's not something we're used to seeing or dealing with.
I know Americans are oddly blase about having guns waved about or pointed at them but it's really not something that the vast majority of the British public will experience and that could be a good thing to put in a game to show Americans just how odd their situation is.

I just can’t get my head around how they could have done this. The possibilities just seem so endless, it makes me think it’s going to have a lot of smokes and mirrors going on.
