Watch Dogs Legion - Post-Brexit London setting

I'm convinced Trelliz should just get into the indie scene

Sort of have doubts about the campaign in this as there is not going to be any real protagonist to play as. Aidan from the original WD was as boring as dishwater but I actually quite liked Marcus (I think that's his name?) from WD2. It's going to be hard to have any kind of interesting narrative without any main protagonists to follow.

I'm just excited at the prospect of a next gen rendering of London.
I still think the London from Metropolis Street Racer on Dreamcast was amazing.

Also, can they do large crowds with realistic reactions? That'd be pretty neat.

I've been selling my semi-valuable retro collection which I've never played, deleting loads of stuff from my steam account and can barely remember what any of them were. To keep it vaguely on track, I really enjoyed WD2 as an open-world stealth game that despite being very "greetings fellow kids" had some heart to it. This looks like another example of Ubisoft making something that looks like its making a statement without actually saying anything (see Far Cry 5) and the lack of a central protagonist may hurt that. If I still care I might pick it up in a year or two when it's cheap, but no guarantees.

It is still on my radar.

Watch Dogs 2 was great fun, though my video of the strip club ended up being age restricted on youtube because it was so popular (300k views+) which meant i decided to take it down.

Maybe not the right place for this but what games are you playing? I can't think of anything lately that has felt like it's tried to get more money out of me and the days of the 6 hour AAA game seem to be a thing of the past. Games quickly get cheap and the subscription services offer great value.

I really liked the look of this from the initial reveal but it seems to have lost some of that hype/momentum now. Feels like it may get lost in a busy period but I'm still keeping my eye on it as it feels like if they get it right then this could be something quite special

I mean I think I can see why they would be so enthusiastic and interested in that area of the market, but go after it at such a scale as this seems crazy.

I think this looks really interesting, trying out some different ideas and the style and tone looks fun.

Hope they pull it off and don't riddle it with microtransactions.

You're cynical, but also probably right.

So the leaked map is true, and we have a massive rendition of Central London to mess around in.
Should be fun.

OK, that gameplay trailer looks great, I'm very hyped for this.

I do hope this keeps the option to play pretty much entirely non lethally like WD2 had, but at least the character switching means you can play as someone who's likely to be more lethal when needed, rather than Marcus was in the 2nd, who didn't really feel like he'd be a killer at all.

This is looking good to me! I am also hoping it will support a non-lethal approach as it seems more thematically fitting.

Anyone else get John Wick vibes from that "professional assassin" section?

I can't wait to see the tabloids when this comes out :slol:
