 . Nice going, Vermilion! I really want to try this game out at some point; I like seeing the London streets and hearing the voicing.

I watched DarkRula showcase the game on his new Xbox Series S this evening. The graphics were great; some excellent detail and the water / puddle reflections were very impressive.

Thanks for tuning in jawa. It was great to have you around.

The improvements that the Series consoles give feel small, but have great impact. The lighting improvements gives the London streets a bit more realism with the shadows being more life-like. The neon shines that bit brighter. And as jawa said, there were visible and realistic reflections within puddles and other surfaces. Even the load times mean there's more seconds of playtime and less waiting around for fast travel.

After the stream finished, I just explored a bit more, knocking out Albion officers wherever they were. Though I didn't do so with my Albion operative. What I did do with my Albion operative (that I really should have done on stream) was head inside an Albion-protected restricted area to claim the collectibles scattered around the place. I really like how just because you are Albion, doesn't mean they'll trust you blindly. One guard seemed to know that I didn't belong there, and tried to tackle me. As I was heading out of the place, another approached me unsure of whether I was meant to be there. I bolted away from that guard, who called it in before trying to chase me down, but by that time I'd already escaped.

Found this weird little thing today, no idea why it's even there.

Nope. There's always things to see. Homeless loitering on floors, people standing around talking, cleaners sweeping the streets, Albion officers causing trouble... People will react if you move too close to them or stand around watching them. The city itself is very well crafted even with its futuristic trappings. Cars are always driving around roads (including buses that all seem to be the number 42), with boats zipping along the river Thames. And while the London Eye is slightly smaller (along with the gardens nearby), it's always fun to take a ride to observe the city from up high.

As has been said in the thread, though, if you just want a game to explore around a modern rendition of London, it's better to wait for a price drop. Which will probably be around... whenever Black Friday is.

I will pick this up on PS5 at some point, but when the price has dropped and it's received a few patches.

I've already seen it at £36 thanks to an eBay voucher code, so I doubt it's going to be long before it's under £30.

Yeah, I'm real keen to try this out on my PS4 but no way am I splashing out £60 to £92 for it (i.e. PS Store pricing; the PS4 versions are priced the same as the PS5 versions, presumably because of the "free" upgrade :fp: ).

The opening of this is very strong. Love how the government and people of the UK have been lied to by a guy called Nigel.... Like that would ever happen.

This is so good. The setting, the ray tracing, the recruitment, the accents with British insults.

It looks beautiful on PS5 and the reflection at night on puddles in the road reflecting the houses of parliament are truly next generation.

It's a really relaxing game too. Ubisoft are by all accounts a terrible company but they done an amazing job with this.

Anyone know what the season pass adds? More of London or just random stuff to do?

Started playing this today and it's great fun, even despite the screen-tearing on PS4. Got a couple potential recruits lined up based on their ability to access certain areas, minus the Albien guard I took down during one of the early missions.

I know Aiden Pierce is going to resurface as part of some story content, but haven't really done much research beyond Ubisoft's 'year one post-launch roadmap'

What happens with the next-gen upgrade? Do you just put in the disk and it downloads the PS5 version?

Are you able to use your phone in this to play music like in 2? Can't seem to figure it out on PS4.

I haven't noticed there being any apps on the phone either, come to think of it... :dread: So no custom playlists?

If it's the same as when I installed Dirt 5 using the PS4 disc, when you put the disc in, something should pop-up with a link to the PS5 version.
