Rocket Launcher from DOOM/Thunder Gun in QUAKE.

At first I hated them because I always got myself killed.... :oops:

Now I love to use them after getting good at the games...as long as i don't switch/fire at same time, be it in group of monsters nearly....or in Quake case with Thunder Gun, underwater. :oops:

Not on subject, but the weapon I always loved in ANY games I've played, is Shotguns. Ever since Doom (80% of the game I pretty much used Shotgun all the time) I always make sure I can get one for myself and go wild :shifty:

Needler was the first thing that came to mind when I read the topic title.

Always thought it was a stupid gun. But then when I found out how powerful it could be I was like "OMG AWESOME".

Also from Halo 3 the Carbine. Again I thought it was just stupid to start with. But then I used it most of the way through the co-op campaign (despite me being Master Cheif and my brother being Arbiter we would swap weapons so I got Carbine and he had BR) and just loved it. PEW PEW PEW PEW PEW.

Was that the one that let you combine the primary and secondary fire modes (fire a sphere thing and then hit it with the beam thing) and make a massive explosion? I haven't played UT for years but that was a real favourite of mine.

As for weapons I didn't like - the Brute Shot in Halo 3 wasn't nearly as good as the Halo 2 version until I worked out how to use it properly. I love it now - flipping warthogs and then grenading them, one shot and a melee to the face with the blade, taking out 2 at a time in corridors...endless fun. Not enough ammo though.
