Hi guys

I help run a small business and we have to switch hosting (long story) we were recommended one of

Rapidhost
Rackspace
Go Daddy

Does anyone have any experience/recommendations?

We're not massive (most of our staff are volunteers) so we need a cheap and cheerful offer. I've called all three but a bit of googling for reviews hasnt helped.

Thanks!

What kind of web hosting are you looking for? If you're looking just looking for some basic managed webspace, Apis Networks are good and have great support.

Stay away from Go Daddy. They are con artists. Folks in the tech industry despise them, for good reason.

we need hosting for our very basic website, not many visitors per month
and POP3 email, standard 100 addresses.

yeah i dont like the look of GoDaddy, they are much cheaper than the other options and that raises questions!

£10/m for exactly what you need https://www.tsohost.com/web-hosting

Their scalable infrastructure is fast and you can easily upgrade if you need to. Used them for years, the CEO even responds to support tickets personally from time to time. I'm a web developer so I know what you need for a website to not get strawberry floated up by the hosting service, which has literally never happened.

I only pay £15 a year which is ridiculous, but I've used much more expensive packages from them.

They will also migrate from your existing hosting for free which probably makes your money back 10 fold as a business.

Never listen to anything anyone says on a telephone, but if you need to call these guys they do pick up and know what they're talking about.

I went with gandi.net

The company motto tag is "No bullshit" and thay live up to that. Had no issues what so ever.

Was a bit complicated to work out what I needed but I put that down to me being a massive noob.
