You know(well, I know) the pilot character from the Mr. Show. A HBO sketch show from the nineties. Maybe you've seen him in something else.

But she's only doing the dirty on Guillermo because she doesn't want her strawberry float buddy to get busted, he's the boss of the whole operation.
I feel sorry for Guillermo anyway, ever since Nancy went behind his back to get Weed he's looked a gentle nudge away from tears.

Well now I'm not so sure I will.

Actually I think Herbs is possibly right. ie. It's possible she's gonna try and spin it to shop Guillermo in, get the tunnel closed, but leave Mayor-Man safe/unmentioned.

It was the 'only' bit I was objecting to. She's doing it because it's the right thing to do. It's obviously playing hell on her conscience what she's gotten herself involved in. She's not just doing it to get Guillermo busted. For the first time we've seen, sh'e not turning a blind eye to what's going on. We don't know whether Esteban knows about the girls, either. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

You haven't been meant to synpathize with her since about season 2. It's part of the reason I don't like the show as much anymore.

I completely agree. I've never said anything on the contrary. Doesn't mean I want to bone her any less, though.

That's what I love about the show. Morally dubious characters. Same reason why I love The Wire, Deadwood, SFU, The Sopranos, etc. Nobody's perfect.

Man weeds is so WTF lately! i never in a million years saw the end coming! (i.e. recent episode) but so many different storylines that are just not really integral to the main story are really holding this show back imo.

And yes the floppy titty nancy is now a banana split! she's been raving and being a shitty parent all season long!

Just going on from my previous point, here are two quotes from elsewhere(TWoP and the official Weeds forums) that I competely agree with.

The scene with her and Esteban was pretty intense. So that's how he justifies it to himself - he uses the proceeds from the sale of the guns to build hospitals and schools. And he tries to stay oblivious to the fact that teenagers are being sold as sex slaves. And that's how he sleeps at night. He and Nancy have a lot more in common than I ever thought, in that they both justify their behavior by telling themsleves that the ends justify the means, and they both have tried to ignore - or bury - the harm they are doing to others. But obviously Nancy has reached a point where she can't do it anymore. By Nancy telling him "it's not enough", we finally see her make a proactive decision, face the truth, and do what's hard - but right - instead of just accepting what Esteban told her and convincing herself that the good he is doing outweighs the bad.

People want to believe Esteban and Nancy are decent people because they are attractive and have hot sex with each other. This is one of the things I think Jenji(show creator) does well at. Exploring the bias in our culture in favor of people because they are attractive, cute or hot. Overlooking their faults and giving them a free pass on gooseberry fool because they look good all the while bringing the hammer down on everyone else. She was selling weed...it was only til this season that she got into a bigger game and with it comes many consequences, and it's taking a great toll on her conscience, as it should, otherwise she wouldn't be human. She always said she'd never sell string drugs because weed doesn't destroy lives, the way coke, meth and heroin do. Her snitching is just. This is a huge deal and at the same time her hands aren't very dirty, she'll be able to bargain with Till, getting herself off the hook and setting up an interesting 5th season.

For anyone that cares(ie: nobody except me

), I've re-uploaded all 11 eps of season 4 with proper end credits edited in. In other words, no annoying announcer/spoilery preview ruining the song at the end. I used the end titles of 315, hence why you see 'little boxes' credited.

Here's an example of episode 9, with the original first and my edited one second. The transitions from the real clip to my edited credits aren't the best, but it's a hellova lot better than than the original.
