Do you still have the Call of Duty night vision goggles?

Oo, I'm pretty sure I had that too!

It was from CVG, I've still got mine! My son's just getting into Mario so I'll let him have it soon enough (maybe when it's a bit warmer so he isn't playing with a beach ball indoors...)

They also did an inflatable Nina Williams, which was nowhere near as much fun as it sounds.

I have an EA Sports beanie hat from my preorder of FIFA 2001. I also have the Civilization Card Game which came bundled with Civilization Chronicles.

 I'll bet.

A 'real' doll of her is probably a bit too much to expect from a magazine freebie.

Love all these quirky game things. Not sure if any of these count, but I've got these weird ass speakers that came with The Conduit special edition:

And also this RE6 watch that was gifted by a friend:

Also got a couple of plastic ocarinas from a convention (I think EGX?) promoting OoT3D, and they actually work! Can't find any pics online unfortunately, will have to find em.

What a game :datass:

Not sure what the "weirdest" thing is. Maybe the two Zool novelisations from 1995, "Cool Zool" and "Zool Rules". Unironically love them.

The mcdonalds happy meal yoshi is pretty weird - you press his shell and his tongue extends. Very creepy

Talking of GTA IV, I have the “key to the city” that they gave away to the first few hundred people who 100% the game.

I believe EA had gotten the idea from Sony, as Gran Turismo 2 also had it (the blue disc smelt of petrol).

Possibly. They claimed "authentic pit-stop smell", but it doesn't say what specifically.

Possibly this:

I think it's weird. It's an N64 pad. Supposedly anyway, it never really seemed to work very well.

I don't know if it's quite rare, but it's certainly the only one of its kind I've personally seen, and it doesn't seem to pop up much if you search for third party N64 pads.

I picked it up pre-owned with no packaging from a high street game store probably towards the end of the N64s lifetime. I think - I haven't tried using it in decades - it had some tilt sensors in the sort of gloved bit, but it was a nightmare to use.

Are you certain you didn't pick up something that's meant to plug into an ultrasound monitor and it just happens to have an N64 connector?

Have you Googled the model number for that? Might shed some light on what it is. A few years ago in the Retro Weekender thread I posted a load of really niche controllers that my brother in law had picked up for absolute peanuts from the end of the Mega Drive's life cycle and I'd liberated from the in-laws' loft. I thought I'd never find out what the deal with some of them was but there was info on most of them

Genuinely delighted to find out its name  I can't see a model number anywhere on the device.

Why is the L button on the right. Where are the other C buttons. What do the scroll and grip buttons do?

Was it made for just a single particular game? It's so odd.
