Awesome. Last year's Canadian GP provided my favourite sporting moment of 2011: the split-second when the cameras cut to Vettel going sideways and Button coming through. I'd given up watching it and randomly stuck it back a couple hours later on to see the result - couldn't believe they were still sitting on the grid. So glad I did - Jenson man crush confirmed

That was bloody fantastic after all that waiting. I don't care what Vettel and Red Bull claim, he was pressured into that mistake.

we were talking about this in work.

we set it up, or had the idea to set it up like this.

pick 4 drivers, only 1 from each team, you have a starting budget to pick your drivers so you can't pick 4 top drivers for example.

points in the fantasy league thang were worked out through qually and race.

you get a base point set for where your driver places, if he places first you get 24 pts, he places last you get 1 pt.

same for race.

bonus points awarded for certain acheivements, 2 pts for each pass made, 15 pts for being on pole from start to finish, 5 pts for winning the F1 of your nationality etc.

minus points for being a divv, like drive throughs will earn you -3pts, causing crash -5 pts etc.

if you driver is fired/badly hurt mid season, you can keep the points you've acrewed so far and take on the replacement driver to that team or change driver to a cheaper driver, the points difference is added to your score, or buy a better driver and the difference is taken from your score. We had it set that the only time you can only change your drivers once, in the summer break they get.

thats the jist, kinda developed over a few beers in spain at last years F1 we went too, but never really got any ball rolling with it.

New Mercedes:

Doesn't look much different from any other car, apart from a rounded nose.

The step in that nose is strawberry floating huge. The nicest noses this year, from memory are that of the Mclaren (obviously), Lotus and Red Bull (and therefore, presumably, the Toro Rosso ).

Don't forget to watch "Megafactories: Williams F1" this Thursday at 9pm on National Geographic. It's an hour long show about the production of the Williams FW-33

Where's the best place to buy tickets for a GP. From the track website, an official F1 website, a third party or somewhere else?

I can't believe Lotus aren't running this week. More for Kimi's sake than anything.
