Pretty cool. I'm liking all the liveries thus far - very unique.

The Williams won't be staying like that - it's only a temporary livery and you can bet there will be vast pools of white used to make it look like the BMW.

Meh. I thought the standardization this year was supposed to get rid of monstrosities like that :|

Yes I'm a little disappointed to see a fin thing, but never mind. All the cars look very distinctive though so I'm loving it thus far.

I like the car fins, but I too thought they would be gone along with all the other aero guff. So far for me last season's livery updates were better than this seasons. Still, the Renault looks very distinctive now its lost its blue.

I'd have to say Renault looks pretty radical with the side pods, maybe a jump forward in performance, or a jump back. 1st race should be interesting.

Nah - Renault's 2002-2006 (?) livery is still far better than the current one.

This poll is on the ITV site:

F1 POLL
Which is the best-looking of the cars launched so far?
Ferrari
30.73 % (350)
Toyota
2.55 % (29)
McLaren
41.53 % (473)
Williams
13.70 % (156)
Renault
11.50 % (131)

Bollocks. The Ferrari is blatantly the best looking car (the McLaren's fat nose clinches victory for the Italians, in my eyes), but Lewis fans have obviously had their say..

I've just had a thought; will the ITV site die down a bit now that they've lost the coverage? Likewise, will the BBC site improve?

Algarve Testing:
1 S. Buemi Scuderia Toro Rosso 1:41.528 65 laps
2 P. de la Rosa McLaren 1:46.076 28 laps
3 N. Hulkenberg Williams 1:46.335 28 laps
4 N. Piquet jr. Renault 1:48.989 33 laps
5 K. Kobayashi Toyota 1:50.989 46 laps

Problems for Ferrari?

Exhaust outlets said to be illegal

ITV.coms readers will vote for McLaren or Hamilton anything though.

It is all a matter of perspective, but personally I think the Mclaren looks better than the Ferrari, and they have done for the last few years too. I say that as a Ferrari fan! For the last decade or so I think generally the Mclaren has looked better, but that doesn't always equate to being faster!

I agree, the Renault looks disgusting and it will be a travesty if it wins this year! I actually want Alonso to go to Ferrari now because he doesn't deserve to have to be photographed with that!

The Williams looks interesting. PLEASE let this be their comeback year.

I'm starting to get worried about Ferrari now though. I think they could be onto another 2005.

Finally a direct comparison. You'd think the one on the right is newer! I like the plain new look though.

I like the look of the BMW. It has a nice clean shape. A lot of people are tipping them this year, kind of like they were with Renault in 2005. I think it could end up being a fight between them and Hamilton.

I'm looking forward to the Red Bull. Newey normally comes up with something special.

Alonso: If Renault win I may yet stay

"I've been answering this question for many years," Alonso said. "Hopefully this year I can be more relaxed about this question.

"If we are winning races and fighting for the Championship then maybe we forget Ferrari."

Alonso hails 'not-best-friend' Dennis

"We are not best friends, but there is respect for each other," said Alonso, speaking yesterday at the launch at the Algarve Motor Park of Renault's new car for the forthcoming campaign.

BMW duo: New rules won't increase overtaking

"I hope I'm wrong but I don't think it will be much different," he said during Tuesday's launch of BMW's 2009 car, the F1.09. "I'm not expecting F1 to become like karting or touring car racing.

"There might be some more opportunities but still, if you're in the middle of a pack of top cars, it will be hard. The braking zones are so short, and the cars are very similar, especially under braking. It's very, very difficult."

And his team-mate Heidfeld agrees. "I hope we will see more overtaking. I guess we will see more, but I think only a little bit," he said.

"It will never be like motorbikes, for the reason Robert explained. But we've not done many laps or seen any races yet, so we don't know for sure. Hopefully we can go fighting."
