I've got the awning extended out already to help keep the kitchen cool.

This is why I didn't vote for Brexit.
This would never have happened if we'd stayed in the EU.

I really don't get how people can drink lots of alcohol when it's hot, drinking makes you feel warmer anyways, so to do so during a heatwave just seems absurd.

I just bought a fan again today, should be here Thursday. Hayfever medicene is a bit more of a problem because I don't do tablets and I can't find any medicene online strawberry floating anywhere.

Air con is still bust in our office though so it's like a living hell in here at the moment! :cry:

I’m so glad I’m staying at my parents whilst renovating my house, they have air con in the living room and I’m off work for the two hottest days as well. So refreshing. I think we are rapidly approaching a point of wanting AC in UK homes.

Having a barbecue straight after work too.

Only problem is my hayfever has appeared today, feeling a bit funny from it.

It's an outdoor microwave with a lid, so no smoke (or barbecue smell for that matter).

It's not a proper one you put in a window or anything but it's a nice portable unit with optional humidifier settings. If I really want an arctic breeze I'll the water tank with ice. I bought it for £80 a couple of winters ago, obviously the price has gone up on Amazon now it's summer.

It is actually not too bad up here on the 11th floor. Nice breeze.

We've got a couple of these free-standing in the office as our main building air-con is dead. They don't really make much of a difference here but I can imagine in a smaller room it would be much more effective.

If nothing else they move the air around which is something we appreciate at the moment!
