What do people do in the sun all day? I've got back into audiobooks because being in the heat just makes me too sleepy to do much else.

All the seasons have their charm, having dogs mean I have to go outside whatever the weather brings but there is something especially nice and relaxing about being out in the sun.
My thing is; I'd love to love summer, to be able to go out walking or sit out in the garden. I love the idea of summer. I don't like the reality of it. I suffer from summer S.A.D, extended bouts of hot days really negatively affects my mood, sometimes quite severely. During an long heatwave I have to get extra medication to get through. And that doesn't get in to the physical effects. For me, the heat is something to endure rather than enjoy. I'm happy for people who enjoy the weather, I tend to get annoyed when told to "stop moaning and enjoy it" from people who do nothing but moan all autumn and winter (not anyone here, more at work).
I've always found the evenings in summer to be quite wonderful. I love a roaring fire and a good pub in winter but it's so nice to be able to sit outside in the cool of the day with a good book or your Switch.
