Light a fire and go dance in it. I never want to see you again.

It's how I remember it from childhood! The 90s were so full of awesome it actually hurts my brain to think about it. I'm having the Turtles as well, as they produced episodes until 1994. :shifty:

True, the cartoon was called 'Hero', not 'Ninja' in the UK.

I don't give a damn, it's still wrong!

They're not heros. They're Ninjas. The practice Ninjitsu and use traditional Japanese weapons.

The 'Ninja' part of the name was actually dropped by the BBC as it deemed it to be too violent sounding. It'll always be TMHT to me

I don't think they are better. Most people on here would think they are, including me. But that was because you watched them when you were young and growing up.

I thought there were controls on the depictions of ninjas in British media until the late 90s, which is why the monk in Soul Blade (Li Long/Shen Long?) had a three-sectioned staff instead of a pair of nunchaku. I think I read that in a Dreamcast mag when Soul Calibur came out anyway. Stands to reason that they'd downplay the ninja connotations for a kids show.

I quite liked Edd, Ed and Eddy...

Comedic cartoons were a lot better in the 90s. Saying that Phineas and Ferb is pretty sweet.

I don't know what channel it was on but the Earthworm Jim cartoon made me laugh.

There hadn't been any really good new cartoons I enjoyed for years since the peak Batman/Spiderman shows of the 90's but there's been a raft of really good hero shows in recent years, namely Batman the Brave and the Bold, The Spectacular Spiderman, Transformers Animated and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

All cancelled now apart from Avengers which is supposed to be coming back soonish.

Yeah Dimaggio was brilliant, sorry, Outrageous!
Was surprised to see just how many characters he played, even then the overall cast list for the show is still huge; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_Br ... cipal_cast

The Tick! That was wicked. It used to show when Fox Kiss first launched, I believe.

Yeah, he wrote or co-wrote quite a few episodes of different shows. He also made this for Cartoon Network's World Premiere Toons -

which is one of two different shorts that Family Guy were loosely based on! (While this episode is more of a kid's episode, the first one was more like Family Guy in style and humour and some of the jokes in the first one were put in early Family Guy episodes.)

Fantastic. It can't be a coincidence that the pilot has Quagmire's voice too.

It was definitely the more surreal and offbeat programs during the 90s that that I enjoyed the most from both networks. So many of them would never get commissioned by either these days.

That's something I wouldn't mind watching again. Even at the time I was seeing that it was surprisingly dark for something that aired on the Disney Channel (it was on that, right?).

All these lists reminded me of Freakazoid. Now that I loved, and I'm sure I've got plans for a halloween costume based on it lying around.
