Surprised the series will be called Westworld as the only connection is to the film, which most people probably won't know. I expect this will be more about the park rather than specific to the West World area.

Looks interesting. The film and book is amazing as well but i'm figuring the show will just use those as something they can refer to rather than based on it.

I saw the film for the first time recently. It's ok, not great, it takes so long to get going, lots of pointless scenes.
With Jon Nolan on board and that cast, I'm expecting much better. They could do crossovers with the other theme parks on the complex if they get REALLY stuck.

This film probably gave us the original Terminator. Yul Brynner was badass.

Best bit about the film by a mile, which is probably what they were going for anyway.

Westworld and Vinyl in early 2016. HBO.

Jonathan "Person of Interest" Nolan in charge of this along with the cast they've got seems solid. Never heard of the book or film. Trailer doesn't reveal much, but in HBO we trust.

As long as Nolan can still dedicate time to Person of Interest's final season, then I'll be looking forward to his next project.

Absolutely loved the film, one of my all time favourite classics and as someone said this spawned The Terminator without a doubt. Stellar cast so looking forward to it and it being HBO what can go wrong?
