I'm really not feeling this season at all. Seems to be much less buzz around it too compared to the first one.

The big battle in last nights episode was comical.

It doesn't seem half as polished as the first series, and the world building doesn't seem to be there this time. Now it's just a case of LOL lets pop up somewhere else in a lift.

I'm enjoying it, but it's almost like a show of deleted scenes at the moment.

It definitely doesn't seem as cohesive this time around. I'm hoping it will get into it's stride later on.

It's lost a lot of the sense of mystery from the first series. I think a lot of that is from losing Ford; there's no puppeteering from the shadows anymore. It's ironic because cutting the puppets' strings was always the obvious endgame and the overarching theme of the series, but it turns out it's just made everything go a bit limp.
I also think Bernard is being wasted slightly; he doesn't seem to have any particular motive beyond just doing whatever he's asked to by whoever he's currently with. Really need some development on the corruption thing soon, and some more follow-through on finding out he's a host beyond that one conversation with Dolores.

Surprise, surprise the best episode of the season yet is the one without Delorezzzzz and Maeve at all.

He's been the best character on the show since day 1.

Great to see Elsie back as well  Knew she wasn't dead.

Thoughts on tonight's episode and my theory of what's going on:

mostly enjoyed that, could do with a bit of fat trimming but it was a good one. I reckon William's plan was to exploit the guests beyond just them stumping up for time in the parks. They're all stupidly wealthy, so perhaps they've been slowly gathering habits, behaviours etc of all the wealthiest guests with a view to cloning them, kill them off within the park (hence why all the bigwigs were invited to Ford's narative launch) and send the cloned people back to the real world, none the wiser that they're not real and are under control. Loadsa money from them then and they don't even know it.

Great stuff from Bernard this week and love that Elsie is back. Was hoping she wasn’t brown bread.

It was a damn good episode. It didn’t really answer much either, even though while watching it seemed like it was!

2x04- Got heavy Lost vibes from that ep. A Scottish man living behind a hatch underground in a fake apartment with an exercise bike and listening to old records? That must have been intentional.

So I loved the episode obviously.

I thought that too Mori, even said to the Mrs when Bernard opened the rock that it was like the hatch and I wonder if Desmond is in there

Season 2 suddenly looking a lot more promising. Bernard and the Man in Black really are the best characters, Dolores was good in S1 but most of that came from wondering what exactly was going on with her with all the time-jumps and the Arnold backstory. It's weird to think that she was more interesting as an android than as a sentient being, but imo that's the case.
Totally called the reveal of Raj lady being Man in Black's daughter, really want to see how that pans out.
I started to think Ford's game for William was to teach him to empathise with the hosts, but what's said at the end doesn't seem to fit with that - Ford seems to think he's irredeemable from the sound of it.
The Bernard scenes strawberry floating killed it this week, finally starting to properly address him coming to terms with being a host (I liked the parallels with Dolores when he said he could finally decide who he wanted to be for himself) and bringing some mystery back into proceedings with his jumbled memories. The whole thing seems to be foreshadowing Ford getting resurrected, especially since the opening recap makes a point of ending on Ford himself casually mentioning how one day we might be able to cheat death, but that seems far too obvious so I'm expecting there to be a bait-and-switch in the works. My other theory is that as well as the data package that Delos is after, Abernathy's being used to store some coding or whatever which is essential for refining the mind-uploading process which is why he's so janky and didn't get on the train like he should have. When Bernard cracked the encryption it said he'd been given a one time key; reckon it'll end up at the end of the series with someone on the brink of death and someone else will have the choice of using the code to upload whoever's brain it was meant for originally, or using it to upload the dying person's mind instead.

Not so sure about that, I assumed the data collection was just to inform more conventional blackmailing. Plus there's no indication that William knew anything about Ford's plan for the launch, and his last scene with Jim seems to show that he's given up on the whole cheating death scheme.

Another good episode this week. Agree with whoever said Dolores is much less interesting now. She done strawberry floated poor Teddy about as well.

Dolores isn’t very exciting anymore, but I also enjoyed the episode.

I do love a lazy scriptwriter.

Yeah I thought he’d be really annoying but he’s amusing and provides decent exposition.

Enjoyed it very much again. Agree that the scriptwriter was gooseberry fool last season but is much improved this time round.
