I don't think it ever hits the heights of the first season, but Ad is being overly dramatic when he says it is Heroes level gooseberry fool.
I enjoyed it overall, the only let down was that the first season was so good, this could never live up to it. It's still better than the majority of TV.

There's 1 properly good episode a few from the end, the rest of it was gooseberry fool unfortunately.
Biggest quality dive in a show since heroes.
It was probably series 2, episode 4 where I switched off.
Loved series 1 and I recommend it to everyone, but series 2 just felt like a confusing dreary mess to me.
Saying that, only Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones are the only long running TV shows I've stuck with.

From a really good episode to a really dull boring episode, I’m sticking with it as I only have two left but how could they go from a great season to this tripe. I would actually agree with the heroes comment
