We went shopping at Aldi and I bought an oscillating multi tool marked down to £8.99

Happy Valentines day

Honestly my girlfriend came home with some chocolates and heart-shaped candles her colleague was giving out for some reason. It's my birthday on 7th March so I probably appreciate funds and effort being saved for that. I usually receive a sick gaming-related cake.

It's a pretty sad state of affairs that what seems to be the majority of couples only have this one day assigned to show each other any affection (or at least beat about it).

I have been saying the same thing for years

Or maybe they show affection every day, but more so on this one day? Or do you believe people should eat turkey and give presents every day, too?

 we found one!

I had Christmas cake in the week, Turkey a few times a week and I regularly buy my wife gifts just because.

Hey, Valentine's day is over. You allotted time for affection is finished, go back to hating everything.

Had my heart broken by football, but was also cooked a steak. I give it a decent mark.

This is a possibility, it may not just have been chocs and candles they were "giving out"...
