ive got one - you have to get very fine ground coffee to make sure the pressure is high enough - but its lovely

i also use 85 degree water, seems to taste better than 95 or 100

I have all my coffee from an AeroPress. It's very good.

Thanks for the feedback. I shall order one then :)
Maybe I need a kettle that can boil to 85 degrees also?

yeah we got one recently so its a lot easier to do

easiest thing to do is get a thermometer and pop it in the kettle once its boiled. after a while i got used to estimating the time it would take 1 cup of boiled to cool down to approximately 85 and didnt need the thermometer

Looks like you could pump a thick, creamy, shot of latte out with that thing.

It does look like it would be very satisfying to insert your goods into it.

Thanks might do that and save £40 but a new kettle would be nice. I like the new Bosch one.

Yes I have a V60 dripper. Its very good but I wonder how this Aeropress will differ? Receiving it in the post tomorrow :)
Whats that kettle all about? Seen them or sale in a local coffee shop where I bought my V60 from actually.

I picked one of those Aeropress's up at that price as well. First attempt this morning and it's pretty good. Didn't use a full level scoop and it was a little weaker than I'd prefer so going with 1 level scoop should be about perfect.

The Hario Kettle controls the flow of water when pouring with it's long spout.

Ive tried the aeropress. It isn't as good as an espresso stove.

Cool glad you got one too. I used some Harrogate coffee ground and it tastes really good. Comes out much stronger compared to using a cafetiere (metal mesh).

I believe you need to use fine coffee ground...someone mentioned earlier. Coz I then tried my Fortnum & Maison breakfast coffee and it didn't come out as strong...maybe coz it isn't fine enough.
I've been doing it the inverted method too and leaving the coffee for a minute or so before I press it.

i actually prefer it; probably because the coffee never gets too hot.

I tend to use my Moka pot for a short strong coffee, and my aeropress when I want a long filter coffee. Usually a mid afternoon one.

Annoyingly it's not the easiest to get the best coffee for an aeropress in Italy. Most are for "espresso". Though recently they have been using aeropress and syphon coffee in some cafes so they might sell some good beans.

Currently drinking kopi luwak-coffee produced using coffee berries eaten, digested and shat out by the Asian palm civet: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_palm_civet

It's actually really nice, aslong as you don't think too much about where it's been...

I tried recreating that by force feeding my cat Gold Blend.

I stopped buying the Kopi Luwak because a lot of it is produced from Civet battery farms where they are kept in tiny cages and force fed cherries. strawberry float that.

If any of you love fresh coffee - get yourself a grinder and treat yourself to some stuff from the square mile coffee place. It's sublime.

Ive got some at the moment that has fig and jam taste notes. It is slap your face, kick your arse and tickle your ball sack, fantastic!

It's very nice stuff that. Very mild but subtle and a beautiful aftertaste. Pricey though. Check out the square mile, Maf. Beautiful stuff.
