Around ten years ago they were one of the best developers of smaller games with their output on Xbox Live Arcade on the 360. From Zuma to Heavy Weapon, The many guises of Bejeweled, Plants versus Zombies and Peggle - and then EA.

I tried those Garden Warfare games but they weren’t for me. Whatever happened to all the great little Popcap games? Peggle 3 should have been a no brainier.

I forgot about this company. Plants Vs zombies was very good.

They must have had an absolute shitload of cash at one point as the mobile games they made didn't cost much to make and were massively popular.
Who doesn't enjoy a game of Peggle now and then and if I remember right the microtransactions weren't all that bad with a few extra tables and backgrounds.

Garden Warfare 2 still seems to have never dropped in price

Peggle 2 being an Xbox One exclusive for a year probably wasn't the best move. No one really gave a gooseberry fool when it was out on PS4.

Most of their output seemed remarkably simple(obviously not entirely true) and sold (I think) incredibly well which makes me think (especially with EA at the helm) that we should be inundated with sequels. Peggle 3 and Plants Vs Zombies 2 converted to console should be a no-brainer. I think I had 3 or 4 versions of Bejeweled on the 360 but still nothing on current consoles.

Yeah I had completely forgotten it existed. It never came out on PC or mobile, which are the platforms most people I know played Peggle on.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Isn't mobile gaming now a shrinking industry?

Oh boy I hope most of the game progression is locked behind microtransactions again!

There better be some bald space marines this time as this franchise has had a severe lack of those.
