What genre's do you generally buy most titles from?

On the flipside of jiggerjay's topic, which genre to you plumb most of your money on?

Mine would probably be FPS.

Driving, sport, fps...

I'm a general 20-30s dream for the Microsoft ideal.

Mostly FPS, but not because I particularly like them. There's just so frickin' many of them. I hope this obession ends eventually.

The genre I like the most is action adventure.

RPGs and shooters.

I'm an annual Sporting & Driving whore.

I dunno, I seem to be quite evenly split between sports, action adventure & driving. Stuff like sports games are brilliant to get into straight away, play for half hour, & then turn off.

This. Goes back to when I got my first PC in 95 and got a copy of DOOM from a mate. Got Quake for my second PC and then RTCW for my last PC. I tend to get lost in them and put on my gaming face, which I have been told is this }:p

I was going to say I should have got a 360 instead of a PS3, but it seems that most games on the PS3 are FPS these days.

FPS's & Driving

Third-person action-adventures and music games. And - lately - RPGs.

Not sure what that says about me. Probably that I'm gay.

Adventure, racing and sandbox style games, i also like fps games and like to try out something different every now and again!

FPS games are my absolute favourite I have loads of them. Other than that it's RPG's, third person adventures and I do like a good platformer.

RPGs, especially JRPGS. Platformers, Horror, adventure and point n click adventures

Mostly third person platformers or action games, and I get quite a few football games each year.

Not big on first person games though.

All sorts, I guess. If I find the story intriguing/fascinating in any adventure - be it an RPG, turn based, real time, FPS, 3rd person, et al, and reviews, previews, opinions from GR folk, etc are positive then i'll give it a look.

Rhythm action bizzle, as well.

Mostly third person adventures and rpg's these days, quite a few of each on the horizon and I've got to pick up cheap copies of the ones I missed first time round (currently got my eye on Total Overdose).

All types really. Unlike the other topic which I can reel off the only two genres i don't particularly like easily, I'm not sure I have one genre that I hold above the others. It's great to have eclectic taste.

Most types for me, although if someone told me I was only allowed to buy one genre for the rest of time it would be an RPG.
