Call of Duty is a brilliant franchise.

Even despite the massive downloads.

The triforce shard quest in Wine Waker was a nice idea that tied into both the themes and mechanics of the game well

This thread is going to 75% Zelda opinions isn’t it?

I loved BotW but there is nothing wrong with the ‘conventional’ linear Zelda structure (grass fire water dungeons, story point, other dungeons, final boss all in order) and I hope we get another one like this sooner rather than later.

XP grinding in an RPG is a very relaxing way to spend some time at the end of a busy day.

Peter Molyneux is the closest thing humanity will ever get to an actual living god.

I dunno, that Sean Murray guy was close to being as good at bullshitting people like Molyneux did.

Videogaming is strawberry floating brilliant at the moment.

Yeah there’s shitty microtransactions stinking up some games but there’s a wealth of options that cater to all tastes, not least because it’s so much easier for smaller indie teams to get their ideas out there.

Totes agree, Tom! I really dislike how (some) publishers are ramming additional payment systems down our throats... but, yeah, the range of excellent games these past few years has been terrific :-) .

"Transaction? Christ, what a bitch!"

I remember borrowing this off a mate and being deep in the rabbit hole with it. My dad was giving me a lift somewhere and as he was out of the car locking the front door a Met Police car with almost identical livery to the ones in the game pulled up next to our car due to a traffic jam. I had a short-lived but very real feeling of panic that I was being boxed in

Overall, the 2D Zeldas are much better games than the 3D Zeldas.

I’m happy to pay the price of a game + season pass, because content/value wise, it’s what we should be paying anyway.
