Yeah, forgot about Battlestar Galactica, too. Both the mini-series and first episode of season 1 are outstanding television.

The thing about Prison Break is the pilot has one of the most incomprehensible lines ever uttered in a television series "Link the Sink? Is that what they're calling him now?"
"Yeah, cos he'll come at you with everything but the kitchen."

It don't make no sense. It's not as bad as Coach Bieste telling Quinn "If you crap on my leg, I'll cut it off" in Glee though. What the hell was she trying to say?

That if the gentleman defacates on her limb, she will sever it. Makes perfect sense.

Dianna Agron could gooseberry fool on my leg anytime.

:shifty:

It just comes out of the left field a bit. And does she mean cut the crap off, or her leg?

I'd forgotten how cheesy the first episode of Star Trek The Next Generation was

Battlestar Gallactica
The Wire
Lost
The Killing

All excellent.

I never could get on with Breaking Bad. I just couldn't get into it.

Modern day I would have to say Lost.

Greatest of All Time for me would have to be Fawlty Towers' first episode 'A Touch of Class' 37 year old and still excellent & to think it struggled with critics and audiences when it first started :fp:

Two Broke Girls had Kat Dennings talking about, and making innuendo out of her massive tits :shifty:

Did it ever make it to season?

friday night lights. maybe i'm just bewitched by the explosions in the sky music all over the episode but i think it does an amazing job of building up to the first match - in doing so demonstrating the importance of football to the town - and introducing you to the characters and feel of the show while it's at it.
