What Wi-Fi extender or repeater do I need to make the internet reach my room?

Hi. I'm going abroad to visit my family. I will be WFH whilst there which requires constant internet use. The router is at the front of the house and can't be moved, my room is at the back and the house is long with stone walls so the wi-fi signal only faintly reaches the room. I need to make it much stronger so I can use it without issue.

I know there are wi-fi repeaters and extenders and the wi-fi that works over plug sockets but this is an area I know nothing about. Can anybody suggest or recommend a solution and a product that works really well?

If the high price doesn't put you off I can't recommend Netgear Orbi enough. I use it in my house with two satellites, and you get a single Wi-Fi network with great reach.

The Lenovo plug in ones (using house electrical cables) are about £30-35

I can't remember but not at UK firm, from the local phone company. Is this because of relevance to Wi-Fi frequency?

£300! It looks great. But for temporary use that's a lot of money that can go to my next-gen consoles fund!

That and the next one up are available at Currys. I will probably be willing to pay between £50 - £70. I don't know what the ISP speed is but it might be 8 Mb or 20 Mb. Is it overkill to get the next model up or does that guarantee a strong signal?

The normal model should be fine I'd think.

Ahh ok, some ISPs have a WiFi guarantee package (BT has one) that provides a mesh network like the Orbi stuff without havibg to buy the bits, they provide them to ensure wireless in the whole house.

I use TP link adapters to run a wired connection from my router to the pc upstairs. It's a rock solid connection and gives the benefit of superior wired speed over WiFi.

I can't use powerline adapters as the room where the router is plugged in is on a separate circuit to most of the house (its in the extension/annexe).
