Apart from myself, only Lewismistreated (Melatonin) has posted here and even then that's been limited to about 4 posts since 2015 (General Election night and Brexit referendum night).
Actually after writing that, I think Ateryu used to post on here for a while too but that's so long ago it was probably back when the AV referendum hadn't even taken place.
I was in Random Fury for a while during the heady live days of 2004/2005. Used to play Rainbow Six, Halo 2, PGR and Splinter Cell quite a bit. Was a member of the forum though didn't really use it that much.
Used to play against Toxic and a few others on Splinter Cell quite a bit. Him and Rubix (it might have been MrKirov actually...) were really good at the game and regularly trounced me and Doubeokevin (think he's CitizenErased here now, though rarely posts).
You were Cubeamania back in the LIVE days right? Seem to remember you were quite good at Rainbow Six.
"There are dozens of us!"
Parksey! Yeah I don't remember seeing your name on the forum much* but we definitely would have played RS6, PGR2 and Halo 2! (Problem with Halo 2's popularity was RF! had too many regulars that even Big Team Battle wasn't possible but custom games were - The Tony Martin Saga created by Yonez was a particular favourite.)
It was only when it got later at night that the Halo 2 sessions would swap to Burnout 3.
Yeah, that's right on the gamertag! I signed up to GR as a huge Nintendo fanboy (only for Nintendo to lose the plot a few years later with the Wii).
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow / Chaos Theory had such a steep learning curve and the GR lot that were good at it, were so much better and more experienced in it that I could never get into it. In addition to the names you mentioned, I think The One & Only (Extreme Ironing) was big into Splinter Cell too. MrKirov was prone to bursts of rage-swearing I think?
*As there's no archive of the forum, I'm mostly thinking of the RF! lot from the 1st meet up at The Science Museum (in probably 2005) that was doing a video game exhibition at the time. Toxic, Lewismistreated, Dante Sigona, Buttfor, P0W3RS, BrokenSun and even a later in the day surprise appearance of Ateryu. I'm sure I'm forgetting 1 or 2 names at least, bit of a surreal experience finally putting faces to gamertags (and being 15 and telling my Mum I'm meeting a big group of adult men from the Internet that I've played video games with).
