I can't believe we've had 2 pages of bitching about the PS3 pad without anyone mention the nob awful analogue sticks. It's like controlling a game with an ice lolly stick in a bowl of soup.

I do like how you can stand the PS3 pad up on its prongs though, must be very well balanced in there for that to work.

Hugo mentioned the sticks, many times.

You realise that every other D-pad ever is simply one piece of plastic, right?

Upon closer inspection of the PS3 Pad, yeah you're right. Though I still prefer the way PS3 have done it. It just seems much cleaner and less blocky.

They cost €3. I'll go bankrupt, I guess.

Plus, since I glued them on I have an incintive not to throw my joypad when I get angry. So far so good.

I'll probably wait until after E3 to see if anything changes my mind, but I'm not optimistic. (The only games I'm looking forward to are Vesperia and the next Fifa)

Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 look incredible in particular, I'm a huge SRPG fan, and there are lots of other games I'd like to try, too. (Uncharted and Ratchet spring to mind)

Then there's God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13 etc. in the future.

I feel bad. As I was one of the main people saying 360 to you :(

But this time last year the 360 would have been the choice for me hands down. But a year on and the PS3 is perhaps the better choice for me. Mostly because the console now has nearly all the franchises I love.

Lost Odyssey, GRID, Eternal Sonata, Fable 2, Saints Row 2, Geometry Wars 2 and some epic fifa games have made the 360 purchase worth it. My sister loved GTA 4, so it has had plenty of use. We had great fun playing through Gears 1 and 2, too.

But now, there aren't really any exclusive games I want coming out (that I know of), however there is loads of PS3 stuff that I would like to try.

Are you sure that has nothing to do with your extremely unlucky streak when it comes to having 360s break on you?

In terms of big retail releases, the PS3 might have the exclusive side won for the first time this year...although E3 might change that. And for multiplatforms you still can't beat a 360.

Final FX was on about exclusives. That is what it lacked last year. Now though there are more than enough exclusives to warrant a PS3 over a 360.

I still love the 360 but the PS3 is starting to really hit stride and the multiplatform games are getting better and better.

I wouldn't agree with that if you haven't played either before. For this year, yes. But overall? I don't think so.

That wasn't my only point though, was it. It was just another reason why DualShock face buttons are, in fact, better.

They aren't better if the only reason they are better is useless.

Useless to you, yes, but others might think otherwise and...get this...use them. strawberry floating shock horror.

I'm sorry, you think its just me (or even just a few people) who says that the PS3 controllers analogue sticks are bad? Are you mad?

I didn't say that, though, did I. Although yes, you're the only one who's being so strawberry floating anal about the subject.

The Dpad is the only area where the Dualshock is better, the analoge sticks are terrible especially for first person shooters and without the trigger add-ons racing games are unplayable.

360 may have Halo ODST, Alan Wake, Forza 3, GTA Download Part Two, Splinter Cell Conviction and that is before we even get to E3 where Perfect Dark 2 could appear. The 360 wil have a very strong line up this year no doubt.

Another thread that had nothing to do with Microsoft's console derailed and turned into a console war by fuckheads.

That isn't a very strong line up for me. I don't like Halo (gave it to HoC, if I remember correctly), Forza or GTA 4. I've never played a Splinter Cell game, either. (I don't like FPSes, so PD 2 doesn't interest me) I haven't followed Alan Wake at all, so I'm not sure about that one.

I'll probably wait until E3 (hoping for a PS3 price cut), and finishing off a few games that I like the sound of (such as the Banjo games)

edit- Sorry, I'll stop talking about the 360 now.

I think Alan Wake will be worth the wait. Can you not have both?
