Is this a trick question? Unless I'm being stupid I think it's the same. I'm sure you can't actually water down alcohol. A half of lager is a half of lager is a half of lager however you serve it just like a vodka and coke is the same as just a shot of vodka.

Depends on the alcohol content of the lemonade used.

Which weighs more - a ton of bricks or my morbidly obese wife?

I get that it's larger as in the drink larger but what is the shandy?

If the shandy is being half-poured by eye then the uncertainty is probably larger

That's what I assumed but good to have it cleared up.

In which case I simply don't know. Any difference would be negligible.

What’s the difference between a lager shandy and a lager tops? I always thought they were the same thing, which is about three quarters beer and a quarter lemonade.

A shandy is half larger and half lemonade. A larger top is 3/4 lager, 1/4 lemonade.

Shandy is half and half, tops is 90% beer with a dash of lemonade.

Fosters tops is a shameful but nice way to ease into another session while hungover

If its a half and half shandy then it will be the same alcohol content.

Shandy is half and half in my experience. I think lager top is about the same ratio as a lager and lime (which is hands down the best accompaniment to a hot beer garden :wub:

Wouldn't the lemonade in the half pint reduce the amount of larger though? Unless it's half a punt if lager with the lemonade on top which wouldn't then.be half a pint if shandy.
