I have a pretty nice setup with a big L shaped arrangement. It’s actually two desks (IKEA GERTON) and to be honest one would have been sufficient but it is no bad thing.

Image

This side of it is for WFH setup. It looks out onto the road and the green outside my flat so it is pretty nice. North facing so never have to worry about the Sun. 2 27 inch monitors and a 15 inch laptop though I don’t use that if I don’t need to be on webcam for calls etc.

Mostly I try and keep that side for work stuff so there isn’t too much interesting here. Pokemon playmats are genuinely just huge mousepads and they’re way nicer to rest your hands on than the normal wood surface, plus I have dozens lying around the place that never get used, hence covering the desk with them.

Swivel round 90 degrees and it’s a different story of course. There’s an Xbox One and Switch dock behind the Tv, the mandatory Pokemon card bulk stacks, cables, nonsense that shows up in the post etc. I also use this spot to eat cos I don’t have a proper dining table at the moment - it looks onto the main TV so it’s not bad, though sitting in my work chair out of hours feels a bit uncomfortable.

Haven't had a proper desk since we had kids and had to use the "spare room" for it's real purpose. As my wife is currently WFH on a couple of days we setup a temporary workspace from the kitchen table. The computer bits are mine, all the other clutter is hers! ;)

Soon to be permanently WFH, then it’ll be two iMacs. Looking to replace my keyboard with something high quality, probably mechnical, so any recommendations would be welcome (EDIT: with 10-key). I’ve been using the mighty MS Ergonomic 4000 for years, but I’ve grown a bit bored of it, and its desk-hogging dimensions.

Getting a new motorised standing corner desk, which should be arriving this week. I'm then going to buy all new stuff for it so it's a nice place to sit, play music and games. Oh and work. Stupid sexy working from home.

Two iMacs?

Yes, it’s a bit excessive. One is a former work machine that I bought off the company (cheap), mainly for personal use. The other is my current work setup that I’ll be bringing home. 24-inch plus 27-inch screens should be a bit of a treat.

I *love* seeing people share their desk/gaming area setups. It's always fascinating to see how different folk prefer cosy or maybe more "utilitarian" setups :D . Sparse, packed, messy, clean... this thread will have everything!

The two bottles of whiskey are literally just out of shot in the top right on top of my Ikea Kallax unit

I couldn’t cope with some of the clutter you guys have! WFH I use a couch desk thing you plop your laptop on, bit like a TV tray, just so I can sit where there’s a lot of natural light really. Mainly because I have an L shaped desk in the box room upstairs but there’s no natural light up there and gets a bit depressing over a full work week (tried it).

My setup probably isn’t ergonomic but meh!
