But that's the best feature. You could jiggle your own boobs.

Since I'm not working from home I've got standard issue work desk. Except it's completely strawberry floating barren to comply with 'clear desk policy' for COVID infection control. I have a computer, landline and hand sanitizer.

There's a wee cupboard next to it that has all the goodies in, but even that is sparse and ruthlessly organised.

It's an Elgato Stream Deck Mini, you can customise each button to do specific things and the buttons are mini LCD screens. I mostly use it for controlling stuff when I stream.

How much did this cost you? Is it worth the cost?

Think it was about £90 off Amazon. Its really handy for switching scenes in OBS and you can set up macros for things like switching to a just starting screen, mute your mic and go live all in one button press.

I do like the look of the physical stream deck tools and they look really handy but it just seems like an investment too far for me considering the limited amount of streaming I do.

I've been using an app that I have sat running on an old phone which provides similar functionality - not as satisfying as hitting a physical button but it does the job!

Thanks Maf! I’m strongly considering getting one for myself as it’s a bit difficult to change things about and I wouldn’t mind having a couple of macros set for the odd sound effect, but I’m not sure whether I can justify the cost yet based on how much I stream and how many viewers I’ve got etc.

Cora - look into the app based alternative, you can get the same functionality without the need for the outlay on the device itself. Then if you like it you can invest in the physical option.

I certainly shall, cheers Jen! Then if it’s a viable alternative I can spend my hard earned money on, err, MK: Mythologies, instead. For a thing I’m working on...

How about this? It does not have icons on buttons but there is software than shows the shortcuts on screen. Still seems ridiculously pricy for what it is but you can probably get one cheaper elsewhere.

Yes, you could pay £26 to have an extra bit of desk clutter that you have to manually switch, or you could use the free software that only needs you to drag your mouse to the screen edge and also allows you to drag+drop/cut+paste directly between computers. Good to have a choice.
