A dozen Tiger helicopters with Luftwaffe markings arrive. The commander of the extraction, Fischer, hurries you to board the aircraft.

"Thank God you pulled through! The entire region of Bern has been overrun by those things, and signs of infection have spread as far as Bavaria. We have to cut the infection off at the source, but we just don't have the intel to make the strike."

The voice of Pvt. False, from the Lambda Squad, comes in over the radio.

"I think I can help, sir. We identified some kind of nexus of infection underneath Bürgli Hill."

"Locked in. You're a hero, Private."

High-impact-depth missiles shred the hill. The ancient temple is reduced to rubble, the blessings of that shrine destroyed forever... while at Stockhorn mountain, the vortex in Chalchmädere gurgles excitedly.

The winds tear back and forth almost like malevolent laughter, and the hundreds of thousands of parasites in the pit begin to flow out.

The extraction helicopters crashed near Berlin.

All over Europe, the suicides began. Entire cities scratched and clawed their necks. In London, six million people ended their lives on the same night, the flesh of their throats torn away. But why?

In Zwieselberg, where the world's end started, the drone Ariel, without orders or programming to deal with the new order it found itself in, shut itself down. This was the final suicide of this story.

I would like to say thanks to my team, who were excellent throughout. A real pleasure to play and strategise with.

Im really pleased Clarkman made it to the end as well, he had a tough role and given my view of the game I really wanted him to pull through. I think it was Cribs who came through with an awesome google doc that really helped the game for us, so thanks to him for that. Ill post a pretty screenshot of what we were working with after Karl has finished his writeup.

Thanks to Karl for running it and doing a pretty sterling job given some tricky scenarios at points.

Evidently not as you came back as a Human.

When Karl finishes his breakdown Im sure it will all become clear, but it was a very interesting premise to work with. Gave some really cool insights from all angles and I got a couple of lucky breaks early on which allowed a very wide view of the game from my perspective.

My activity waned heavily towards the end and I had little impact because of it, but I think the game was pretty much tied up at that point anyway.

The day 3 Hexx-Zellery play was probably my favourite experience of any mafia I've ever played, huge thanks to Falsey Jen and Nun (and Fudge for a while) for being great teammates and very smart players!

Also to Karl of course for running a very complex and satisfying game, especially whilst ill.

I think our victory came from just the right combination of skill and luck - but it will be interesting to see if others agree with that assessment once the post-mortem goes live!

The Hexx Zellery Sat thing was amazing. It took hours of planning and meticulous working to pull it off and blew us away when we nailed it.

So basically I was out of the game on day 2 after making contact with Zellery. Someone else was given my account, presumably saw my PMs and Zellery's role and then after Zellery suspected Orange as a parasite they came up with the crazy Hexx story and made me look like an idiot to take the heat instead.

But I like how nobody even questioned that I would play that bad :fp:

I found it all extremely entertaining. Very good game.

That was the day I was at a training course and couldn't even watch things unfold, let alone contribute - I just remember coming out to check my phone and there being over 100 PMs containing the back and forth of planning and executing the whole thing! :lol:

I actually thought Orange had control of my account because they were using the words 'Town' and 'Cops' which I wouldn't have used as I didn't play those early games. Then Orange used 'Town' a couple of times in the thread but I didn't see anyone else use it.

It was Nun, he also slipped and called Orange OR in a post- thankfully nobody noticed!

I think I did pretty well in imitating grcaders overall
