A mate of mine was given a PSP. OK I thought, what's the catch? We put a UMD into the back but the game would not load. It sounds like it just spins and spins. Where do we send the thing off for repair? Or does it sound like it's strawberry floated?

Sony?

If not, just take it into one of them dodgy shops in your local market and see if they'll do it

Sounds like a faulty UMD laser. ConsoleDoctor would fix that for £35.

Try having a mess about with the laser yourself.

I traded with a forumite for a PSP a while back and must of been knocked during transit with Royal Snail and nothing would load in the UMD drive, I used a small screwdriver and slid it about from side to side and it worked. Not that I'd ever use the UMD drive seeing as it came with CFW :shifty:
