My go to for shoes is Grenson. Expensive but worth it, £150-250ish.

Onitsuka Tiger for trainers. £75 comfortable as hell and great for your feet. Flexible and light. Last for ages.

No he’s a pervert. Those shoes are so shiny that they act in the same way as putting a mirror on the end of your shoes.

I buy Nike trainers from JD Sports, normally about £120-150.
But I do tend to get about 2 years wear out of them.

Usually from sellers on Amazon or Ebay, about £30 or so. I always buy online because I take size 9.5 and stores only ever stock the full sizes.

I actually like Mommy's shoes. Not sure I could wear them every day though, they are very much "posh dinner party" shoes.

For smart shoes, probably M&S. For casual shoes, it depends what kind, but sometimes eBay, sometimes JD sports, sometimes an outlet store. Usually have to buy online though, as most shops don't stock my size.

I’ve had the same pair of dress shoes I bought for a friend’s wedding around 8 years back, Base London bought them in John Lewis for about £80. They’ve lasted so long as I very rarely wear them but they are starting to look a little worn now.

For everyday shoes I almost exclusively wear skate shoes, have done for years as they are super comfy and you can usually get away with them in bars. DCs from Schuh when I can afford them but failing that I make do with Airwalks from Sports Direct.

The most I’ve spent on a pair of shoes was £120 for a pair of New Rocks... went through a bit of a goth phase in my late teens. I still have them somewhere I think but I haven’t worn them in years.

I used to buy my work shoes at Clarks, but one of my work colleagues is a prick/friend and kept making fun of them. I then moved up to Jones but found they didn't last very long, so now I'm on Loakes/Barkers which are far more than I ever expected to spend on shoes. My current pair was about £250, however they are very comfy (you can get half sizes) and have lasted the same length of time as 2/3 pairs of Clarks which were £60-70 each, so on a time basis they're not much more expense (and they are still going). I really need to get another decent pair so I'll basically never have to buy work shoes again.

Other shoes, I have a pair of running/gym shoes, I typically go buy a pair at one of the places where you can test them out on a running machines. Typically cost £100-£120, but then will just order the same pair of Amazon at about £80 until they stop making that type and begin the process again.

I then have a pair of Casual trainers which I manage to get the same pair every year from Shuh for about £60-70.

As an aside |I need a pair of casual brown leather trainers, can anyone recommend somewhere?

When I was a child I would spend (my parents) on a pair of trainers around £120, but since then I normally just go to sports direct and spend around £40-£60, I purchased some trainers today and they were $59.99 from JCPenny, I always buy blue trainers.

My work uniform used to be black shoes but they altered it to black trainers. Which was great, about 2 years ago a local charity shop got sealed xcatalog black trainers at £6 a pair, so I grabbed 3 in my size and they lasted around 6months a pair, after them I went to JD sports and paid £18 on some black Dunlop trainers which I'm still wearing now, work like as little logo and stuff as possible so I just grab whatever is black and comfy.

For out of work I have all kinds of stuff my fave being a pair of old style asdidas I paid £50 on about 6 years ago but in truth they probably need binning off but there so comfy

Got a pair of cherry red DMs which I wear most of the time. They're expensive but look great and are really comfortable so I just replace them whenever they get an unfixable hole in them. I also have a pair of suede boots that lace up like shoes but also have a sort of loose strap thing that goes higher up the ankles. They look a bit space-piratey - I'm probably supposed to wear them with skinny jeans but strawberry float that noise :slol:

Trainers are a black mesh pair of New Balance, really lightweight and got them in a sale.

I wear Skechers, theyre the best fit for me and I like how they look, it helps they do just about any style too. I go with the slip ons that have fake laces on them. I used to always wear DCs and I would superglue the laces closed anyway so I didnt have to be tying them all the time, having proper shoes designed to be slip ons is very handy.

I wish there was any easy way of telling which shoes are more ethical to buy than others. Price alone doesn't appear to be a good measure (and in many cases doesn't appear a good measure of quality either).

I think I'd max out at £100 for a pair of shoes, but usually spend £30-60

I always wear Pataugas for work - cool and comfy!

For everything else, I tend to get Nike trainers for running/fitness, usually have a pair of Converse hi-tops and a something like Adidas Superstars 'for the weekend'.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I usually just get airwalks from sports direct for £25 - £30, they're comfy and I can get a lot of use out of them. The ones I have now are just a cheap pair of white ones from Matalan for £14. I have trouble buying shoes that fit me so I was surprised when the ones I have now did!
