Is anyone interested in having them? I have all numbers from 2 to 104, and I'll give them to anyone who wants just for the price of postage.

While I would absolutely love them, they should probably go to someone who is likely to scan them if possible. I can't see that person being me. If nobody else does come forward I'm interested though. I don't think I have very many of my copies left anymore, and there were loads I never got in the first place.

How much do you reckon postage would be? It must weigh gooseberry fool loads to send 100 magazines.

Are you only interested in getting shot of the whole batch at once, or would you consider giving them away bit by bit? I'd happily pay for postage for the issues of N64 magazine I'm missing  (about 35-40 issues in total but not in any set order  )

Cancelled my GamesTM subs and now I am subscription free. I need to cut out a lot of costs as I aim to save more in the next year no matter how small they are. I am also finding myself not even reading the magazines like I used to back in the CVG/ older Edge era and news is always old news these days in the printed media, which is to be expected.

You should try Retro Gamer and N Gamer. Both are excellent reads.

Slight mistake, the issues I have are from 2 to 105, with issue 78 missing for some reason.

I live in Switzerland, so postage may be a bit steep. Here are the shipping costs. UK is in zone 2.

Danny Boy, 35-40 issues weigh around 13 kilos, which costs 64 CHF to ship. http://www.xe.com tells me that is roughly £44.

muppetBoy, all issues weigh 33 kilos, which costs 158 CHF to ship (106 GBP). I'd be happy to send them out to you, but it'd be more democratic to spread them out a bit first if there are any other takers.

Ouch. Yeah, I won't be going for them all anyway.

I might be prepared to take some of your hands, but as I haven't really got a collection anymore to be missing issues out of, I haven't really got any major preference on particulars anyway. It might be better to let danny (and anyone else) pick first and if you're left with some I could well be up for getting ten or twenty from you.

I've still got my copy of a PC Zone magazine from 1998 with David Bowie on the front, it came with a demo of starsiege:tribes, the best and most ahead of it's time online fps ever, i feel sorry for people who never got the chance to play it or the sequel.

I have copies of several magazines first issues. Edge. gamestm, arcade, your spectrum, and a few more I cant think of,will edit later.

Also, your sinclair really needs to be in the poll. It was a super magazine and I once had a letter printed in it. You received a badge for a printed letter which I unfortunately lost :(

Rapidly-greying is Mediocre to Average at games :fp:

If anyone is interested I have a bunch of NGC Magazines that need a new home. Approx issue 60 to issue 100.

All I ask for is shipping charges.

NOM.

Not ONM though. It took what NOM had and ruined it.

I had no idea that CVG stopped publishing in 2004... did it? I could've sworn I seen it in the last couple of years...

They've done the odd feature edition since then. In my opinion the magazine died in 1999 with the redesign and departure of Ed Lomas.

Some great links here. Does anyone remember a games mag in the early 90's called "Games X"? It was a fairly short lived weekly multiformat magazine.

Yep, I remember that! It was a weekly mag that competed with the more historic (and, originally, more serious) Popular Computing Weekly.

A cool mag that delivered a great weekly update in the years before the web arrived. I remember Bart Simpson being on the cover of one of the issues. Good memories!
