I must admit they’ve done a right job on them. For years people thought they’d never see the light of day again and yet the design team have really gone to town by making them a unique army via their play mechanics.

I wonder if they’ll ever do an Exodites army and combine giant dinosaurs with eldar?

Jumping back into AoS after almost a year away. Signed up for an event in a fortnight and doing my Beasts of Chaos for it.

Finished my Ghorgon which I'm happy with, also working with resin for the first time to do a swamp-style basing scheme, now to get the rest of the army done.

If anyone wants a fun little side project, someone's 3D printing a version of the saxophone space marine from the meme and selling them on Etsy: Link.

Lovely work mate!

I went to Warhammer World on Sunday with four other mates, we played a 20,000pt game of Horus Heresy (10k vs 10k). I had 5300pts of Iron Warriors and my mate had 4700pts of World Eaters against 3333k of Imperial Fists, Ultramarines and Dark Angels. Was a great game, was there from opening to close playing and got four full turns in. Was a great laugh and had a lot of members of the public coming over to admire the spectacle. Heading back in January to play on one of the new tables but only doing 6k a side as it's a smaller board.

Few tweets of the pics of my army and the game itself below;

Agreement in principle to develop film and TV

Games Workshop is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement in principle with Amazon Content Services LLC, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., (“Amazon”) for Amazon to develop Games Workshop’s intellectual property into film and television productions and for Games Workshop to grant Amazon associated merchandising rights.

In advance of contracts being entered into, Amazon will be commencing certain development activities (such as holding preliminary discussions with writers) in order to facilitate the project. It is intended that rights will initially be granted to develop the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Whilst the parties have reached agreement on material commercial terms, the project is wholly dependent on and subject to contracts being agreed and entered into, which the parties are working towards.

“Warhammer 40,000 has captured the imagination of fans of all ages, from all walks of life, and all over the world,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon and MGM Studios. “We are excited to work with Henry, Vertigo Entertainment, and Games Workshop across our Amazon entertainment businesses on this brilliant, immersive franchise for our global customers to experience for years to come.”

“I have loved Warhammer since I was boy, making this moment truly special for me. The opportunity to shepherd this cinematic universe from its inception is quite the honour and the responsibility,” said Henry Cavill. “I couldn’t be more grateful for all the hard work put in by Vertigo, Amazon and Games Workshop to make this happen. One step closer to making a nigh-on lifelong dream come true.”

“It’s great news and we’re absolutely thrilled; we’re working with a fantastic triumvirate in Henry, Vertigo, and Amazon. Henry’s well-known love of Warhammer 40,000—and his passion as a world-builder and storyteller—will serve us all well in the coming years. Finally, Warhammer will make it to the screen as the fans have hoped, and as they deserve. Exciting times!” said Andy Smillie, creative director of GAW.

This has the potential to be amazing, especially with Cavill being an executive producer he'll know when stuffs not up to scratch and doesn't fit the 40K universe etc.
