Are you playing as Mario from a third person perspective, or Lakitu from a first person perspective?

You might be tempted to argue that the buttons make Mario move, so you are controlling Mario, but you can also press buttons to make the camera move, which means you are also controlling Lakitu. It's therefore equally possible to be playing as either one issuing commands to the other. Now answer the poll

There's only one right answer here.

I'm prepared to be disappointed in the responses.

What's a Mario?

If you just move the camera, does Mario move? (Not played it since DS launch.)

Technically you play as both, with Mario on the stick and main buttons, with the turtle on the yellow buttons.

You play as both at the same time. Why is that not an option?
