Weird thread but idea came up from the whatsapp chat and thought it'd be a good thread.
I've met a few of the Star Trek captains at conventions, Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks and Patrick Stewart. I'd say Patrick Stewart is probably the most famous out of the three. I missed out on meeting Shatner, but my Dad who did said he was a bit of a dick. I have no idea where it would be, but I also got my photo taken with Anthony Daniels at a Star Wars convention.
Probably Donald Trump. I never actually properly "met" him but he walked past my section at a show in New York in 2013-ish, waving and shouting at the crowd. He was heckled and had things thrown at him and looked absolutely furious.
Beyond that, various wrestlers(Virgil, Rikishi, Jimmy Hart, Rob Van Dam, Scott Hall and DDP, Kurt Angle, Christian, and more) at a different show on the same weekend, and a few footballers. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Edwin Van Der Sar, Craig Levein and various Blackburn and Celtic players.
Loads of footy players, mainly Forest but also opposing players too. Also met the entire Man U squad in 1996 (Cantona, Becks, Schmeichel, SAF, Scholes, Butt, etc) when staying at the Village Nottm on a stag do. I was in the room next to Brian McClair and Lee Sharpe. Met Cantona as I walked down a corridor from my room and he rounded the corner. He wasn’t the most famous at the time, but he is now.... David Beckham would be my top answer. Got all their autographs too
Met Mike Yarwood at an airport when I was 10 or 11. Got his autograph
Met Bob Warman of ITV Central News fame when I was even younger too. He’s just announced his retirement today after c.50 yrs in the business
Met loads of famous people in my dreams though. Weird how this happens

Not really famous but kind of. Two members of the original line up of Ladybaby. I met them at Hyper Japan back in 2015. They had one viral hit video so I'm counting that as famous.
Edit - I met Timmy Mallett when he came into the library where I worked. So some real A-Listers on my list.
Double Edit - I met Danny Vaughn, lead singer of Tyketto. Not mega famous but they're my favourite band. He was really nice too, I got his autograph and we chatted for a while.
David Gilmour from Pink Floyd twice Nigel Mansell Steve Ryder Will Mellor - he lives near me and see him at work every other week Marlene from Only Fools and Horses Ed China
I've served Norman Cook a couple of times at work and I met the Kings of Leon at an album signing once. I've also met a number of football players and managers. Didn't meet him, but Liam Gallagher once walked past me in Harrods (it wasn't my choice to go in there), although he did give me a nod of acknowlegement.
Mick Jagger twenty years ago, I was working at Heathrow airport and escorted him to his plane. Was very friendly. Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters, have met many them many times. Grohl was kind enough to put me on his guest list a couple of times for shows which I never had tickets for. Lars Ulrich, met a few times. Most recently in Hong Kong going up to Victoria Peak which was surreal. Recently ousted Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, although I met him decades ago when he was still married to Jemima. Brian May, Roger Taylor of Queen. A have an eye for faces so always instantly recognise people. Once made Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin a coffee.
I once had Matt Berry walk past me in London, near Leicester Square. I thought he would be taller!
Also I was at Birmingham comicon dressed as the Cheshire cat about 10 years ago before i stopped cosplaying. It was a handsewn fluffy striped jacket and bottoms with a tail, with a fluffy top underneath. As I was walking past the autograph booths to get back to my friends, Warren Davies (I think it was him, it looked and sounded like him) shouted at me saying "you must be very warm!".
I can't say I've met any other celebs, unless drag Queens count as I've met Yvie Oddly and Plastique Tiara at a meet and greet
Craig David shot part of one of his music videos at top of my road back in the day Was in Harrods once having a look about and Roger Moore went past with some entourage and Harrods staff me and my friend were around the food area when he went past
I saw DML at a Tesco Extra in London the other day. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
I once met Princess Diana. Well, I say I met her, but it was for about 2 seconds at a charity thing and I was a sulky kid at the time so I made no eye contact and couldn't wait till she'd gone away.
Next most famous would be Les Dennis. A friend and I drunkenly accosted him in a shopping centre whilst doing impressions of him, causing him to fast-walk away looking frightened.
I'm also fairly certain that I was involved in a near motorway crash with the late TV magician Paul Daniels.
To be as clear as I can be, whilst Paul Daniels was previously alive (at that point), the motorway incident had nothing to do with his future demise. Or with me calling him the late Paul Daniels just now. Because, at that point, his demise was still at some time in the future, but is now very much definitely in the past.
