I'm not because cheese exists.

Because I’m too lazy to change my eating habits in a society fundamentally geared towards making animal products much more easily accessible and often cheaper than the alternatives.

Because Jesus wasn't a vegan, nor even a vegetarian, and He is the example of all righteousness.

That and meat is just too darn tasty.

I do eat veggies but I can't live without meat. Breakfast won't be complete without bacon.

Because synthetic meat (beef, chicken, pork, fish etc) that tastes identical with identical texture and cooking properties isn't on shop shelves.

Also I'm very fussy, so I don't like a lot of veggie textures, and I don't consider a meal complete without meat involvement.

I'm slowly reducing my meat consumption for a set of specific reasons related to climate change. While I don't feel any personal responsibility for climate change, I do want to support the meat replacement market, which is obviously a much more green industry.

I'm in the lucky position of actually quite liking quorn, tofu, paneer, etc., so it hasn't been that hard at home.

The hard bit is that going out for a meaty meal is a big comfort ritual for me, and honestly I don't seem to be driven by the same level of empathy for animals vegans have so I don't really feel instinctively guilty about it. (All that talk about "murder" and "rape" I find a bit distasteful, those words imply a level of complexity that farmyard animals don't have imo.)

I will probably be vegetarian eventually. I very much doubt I will be a vegan though.

I'm not vegan because for every burger Karl doesn't eat I have to eat three.

Vegan is a hard road to walk, isn't it? I guess all you can do is being as Vegan as you can. Chances are we are all typing on keyboards made from plastic which is derived from oil which was once dinosaurs. A little bit of meat in your diet is a good thing but a balance of diet is more important.
I really like a lot of vegan/veggi dishes and can manage without meat. We all have rows of sharp teeth which are there for ripping flesh after all...

I can't ride a unicycle and I don't like wearing scarves.

I had a real life vegan try to belittle me for waxing lyrical about a great steak I had a while back at work. "OH the environment! THE ENVIRONMENT!!!!"

I am not going to have kids. Add that lifetime of consumption and carbon footprint up.
I cycle to work 4 out of 5 days a week.
I walk when wherever and whenever I can around my local area.
I don't smoke, I only drink on weekends.
I only drink water in the day time.

Oh but I can't have a steak every now and then because THUR ENVIOMNT. strawberry float you.

I have - occasionally and briefly - wondered in the past about stopping eating meat... because of vague, unstructured thoughts about the environment and animal harm concerns... but I've never taken action on it.

I did stop eating beef for twenty years following the "mad cow" situation and I kinda feel that I could completely cut out meat if I put my mind to it.
