I gave Launchbox another blast today and despite finding MAME ran like gooseberry fool through it Fusion seems just fine and I’ve imported most of my Sega ROMS to it.

Quick question, how do you get the box art for games where it doesn’t pull through automatically?

If you right click on a game and choose "edit" it lets you tweak all the metadata. If it's been able to match the game to one in its database it will have a "launchbox id" number in the top right. If not you should try variations on the title and "search for metadata" to match it up. Once you have a match, click the "download images" button in the bottom right and it will show you all the available images for that game. I would recommend an emumovies account (free) as it gives you access to their image database as well.

If you're still missing artwork after successfully matching the game and checking that, you can manually add your own on that edit page as well.

That's all from memory though and things might be a bit different.
Hope it helps.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll have a look later on this afternoon.

EDIT: The issue seemed to be the names not being quite right but with a bit of tinkering and some help from Google I’m sorting out the stragglers now.

I've not really looked at RPCS3 in a while False, so not sure what the current "best" settings for Demon's Souls are but mine are as follows:

CPU Tab:
-PPU Decoder = LLVM Recompiler
-Firmware Settings = Load liblv2.sprx only
-SPU Decoder = ASMJIT Recompiler
-Additional Settings (Tick these options) = Enable Thread Scheduler, Enable SPU Loop detection, SPU Cache
-Preferred SPU Threads = 4
-SPU Block Size = Safe

GPU Tab (Resolution and stuff you can tweak to your taste/requirements)
-Renderer = Vulkan
-Framelimit = Off
-Additional Settings (Tick these) = Write Color Buffers, Use GPU Texture Scaling

Audio Tab
-Audio Out = XAudio 2

All the other settings should either stay as they are, or can be tweaked to suit as far as I'm aware. It runs pretty decently for me though.

This is on 0.0.5-7405-da6ce80f Alpha version.

Just had an absolute ‘mare with Launchbox.

Randomly I noticed that the number of games on each format didn’t quite match the number of games in the ROMs folder. The only solution was to meticulously go through each list finding out what hadn’t crossed over and adding them manually.

A lot of the time it was simply picking up entirely different games as duplicates for example Namco Star Wars/JVC Star Wars on NES but often it wasn’t as obvious such as just flat out refusing to import Adventures of Lolo on NES.

I've noticed it do that for certain games too and it's not always clear why. Sometimes I've had to create a duplicate of another game, then go in and edit all the metadata to make it what it should be. It's bizarre, but only happens sometimes, though it's hard to notice when you're importing large numbers of ROMS at once.

Might be worth checking the launchbox forums to see if there's any threads about it.

The last thing I need is more ROMs right now but there are a couple of Mega CD games I want which I missed getting before Emuparadise closed... where exactly are people getting stuff from these days? PM me if you can’t post it.

So it’s not all take, take, take from me I’ve added a 32X game that the folder seemed to be missing, Metal Head.

Now you mention it I thought I’d added it but now when I look at the folder it isn’t there anymore so I can only assume I’m doing something wrong.

The superpi case by retroflag for the Pi 3 is amazing. Bar the branding it looks identical to the snes mini. Has working LED and a safe shutdown script for when you hit the power as well. Just set mine up it was a fun little project.

I got my 8Bitdo SF30 Pro today. What a wonderful little controller it is! Absolutely perfect for my Retropie setup. The D-pad and buttons feel absolutely perfect, and it's got a wonderful retro look to it too.

I've got the Kintaro Super Kuma 9000 (I love that name) which is essentially the US Snes case and it looks great next to my PAL SNES Mini. There's some really talented case designers out there.

I got one for my Christmas and it's a great pad. Not used it on anything other than my Switch so far, but looking forward to trying it with Retroarch on my emulation PC.

Also, I've found a couple of these scripts really useful for enhancing RetroPie (especially now it plays chiptunes while in menus)

Dunno kind of wish I did the same after seeing how identical these are.
