It's good news for delisted games. Might get it for afterburner climax

Wanna play okami, but can I find it? Nope. Well I did, but there were no seeders or whatever.

Cheers. There's a lot of Wii games I really want to get around to playing.

How's Cemu coming along as well? I'm considering selling my Wii U to help towards eventually getting a Switch and there's a handful of games like Tropical Freeze I will have missed out on.

Some split will find a way to invade you just before a boss.

I love Emulators and whatnot, but I'm lazy and don't have a PC set up any more these days.

Has anyone ever bought (or built) one of the Pi Emulator systems?

Retro-Systems sell them pre-built with a good looking GUI and absolutely shed loads of Emulators and games pre-installed - along with Kodi etc.
I must admit, it's very tempting.

Video of the GUI and games.

No, i've often looked at them and never bothered. In theory they should be fine but i just get the feeling that i would get a duff temperamental one.

Retro pie is good for 2d stuff and PS1. I keep meaning to pick up one of those Bluetooth 8bitdo SNES pads for it. The pi is tiny too so it's great if you are staying with relatives or that. Plan on hammering the SNES RPGs when I get the time using it

They seem like a decent set up. One of my mates has one and it seems to run perfectly fine. Didn't see him try anything too challenging though, mostly SNES and NES games.

The latest pi 3 handles PS1 fine. The issue you run into though is game sizes get big on PS1 and I want to say the pi only supports 32 got cards?

N64 for whatever reason chugs on it. I think Dreamcast works fine. For like £30 plus a fiver for a case though it's good value.

N64 emulators chug on way more powerful hardware as well generally.

The GameCube struggled with N64 emulation too, Majora's Mask ran terribly. I've always found N64 emulation troublesome outside Virtual Console.

Really interesting write up on the Dolphin emulator blog about how they have been trying to overcome the stuttering introduced by shader compilation:

Fair play to the people developing these emulators - this goes to show the level of effort people put in to preserving the ability to run games from the past!

Apparently a bunch of EMU sites are taking down all their Nintendo ROMs.

This has happened in the past I believe, they usually show up again after a while...

But where will Nintendo get their VC releases now?
