I'm not sure what google drive you're talking about.

Some of the folders with big "files", or large numbers of "files" (So most of them) can take some time and as a web interface Google Drive is pretty poor. So it could just be that it doesn't like it.

There are some pre-packaged sets in the folder of the same name, but that's no use for the bigger "files".

This happens to me with Chrome when downloading anything from Google Drives.

Use Edge, the problem doesn't happen for me with that

Hmm weird when I try and download something from the drive I keep getting an error message saying "Access to doc-0g-5o-docs.googleusercontent.com was denied You don't have authorization to view this page.
HTTP ERROR 403"

Are you signed in with the same account you used on Chrome?

Seems fine on my phone, but I'll take a look when I get home if you still can't get on properly.

Just resigned in to everything and seems to work now!

Not so much for the emulating but spent a good few hours installing CFW on a 3DS XL I got tonight, had a copy of Luigi's Mansion 2 on my PC (trying out on Citra with no joy) and installed via FBI and works a charm.

Though just to be clear I have also purchased the same game so waiting for it to be delivered, the YARRRR version was just a tester. The other 30GB worth of games I'm currently downloading I don't own

Yeah Citra works fantastic for some games but a lot of others just aren't anywhere near ready yet.

CFW is good for playing the "backups" though.

I'd read into it before you go doing anything though Osito.

The games often have to be in a specific format to "install" them to the 3DS (I think it's CIA files). Definitely tread lightly if you've never done it before.

Yeah you use CIA file extensions for games, think theres an easy way of converting from the file format on a certain Google Drive to .CIA.

Will do, just something I'm mulling over at the moment. I'm moving abroad in February, so am trying to go digital on handhelds as much as possible. 3DS + Vita + Switch gives me plenty, but I'm also toying with the idea of getting a Raspberry Pi when I'm there (or here and bringing it with me), seems like an ideal way of bringing most of my stuff over.

Although having CIA and FBI involved concerns me a little

If I were to get a Pi 3/3+, would just a case be enough or are a fan and heatsinks essential? Already got a spare micro SD, and think I'll need a decent power supply.

Seems like you can get decent performance up to N64/PS1, which seems crazy given the size of the machine.

Bricked my New 3DS XL while trying to hack it. Got to a point when I had to turn off and restart it, problem was it wouldn't power on. Light would flash blue once and that was it. Took about 10 minutes of finding the right Google search result and worked out I'd placed a file in the wrong place on the Micro SD card even though it still wouldn't power on without the Micro SD inserted.

The Pi is a superb bit of kit. Everything up to and including PS1 should run perfectly fine. N64 is where it starts to struggle but some stuff is playable. Dreamcast and PSP have some games that will run ok as well.

Heatsinks aren't essential, but they can help if you intend playing a lot of 3D stuff (PS1 for example). I would recommend getting the Kintaro Super Kuma 9000 case. It comes with a heatsink, looks like a US SNES and has functioning Power and Reset switches.

I would say be prepared to spend a long time configuring everything and you'll no doubt have to scrap it and start over more than once, but it can be quite satisfying. Was weird though even when I'd remove the micro sd card and try turning it on I'd get the same thing so it was like it was system side rather than a problem with the card.

Good stuff man. It's my nightmare that I brick one of my systems. I nearly did it with my phat PS3 a year ago. Was hacking it and it got stuck in a permanent system update/repair cycle. Was able to force it out by putting a new HDD in but it gave me a wee fright.

It had probably already flashed a certain part of the system and was now just looking for that specific file. Once you put it in the place it was expecting it to be it could continue with flashing the system.

That's just a guess but it might explain why it wouldn't boot into the standard firmware.
