I just really dislike the US Snes. I think it is ugly as strawberry float tbh.

The US SNES is a visual abomination compared to the European one.

Still don't know what the US did to deserve such a horrible, horrible design.

I’ve always thought US box art is pretty terrible too.

The US also got the gooseberry fool name for the Mega Drive.

Yeah, but Phil Collins wasn't in Mega Drive, was he?

I sort of like it, although obviously Megadrive is a far better name.

I've always wondered whether the band were the reason why it wasn't called the Genesis in Europe or whether there was already a product called the Megadrive in the US.

Apparently another company already had the term/name Megadrive copyrighted in America so it had to be renamed.

Anyone got much experience of running nintendont on the vWii? I installed it all last night and am having problems running my games. I’ve got F Zero GX and Eternal Darkness on a USB stick. Everything else is on the SD card.

When I boot the games it then loads through all the Nintendont menus then shuts the machine down. Sometimes it gets as far as loading the Sega logo in F Zero or the first screen in eternal darkness before shutting down.

Any idea what the likely issue is?

I don’t know if it would work better with the games on the same SD card as the apps?

The card I used is too small so need to get a bigger one tonight and try that.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The games I’m playing are ones I ripped on my original homebrew Wii so don’t worries about my being a bad boy!

Also, if it helps, Ininstakled everything using the browser exploit, Haxchi then WupHax. Now running Nintendont via the HBC on VWii.

I'll have a look at my sd card structure later as I was using it to play Mario sunshine a while back and it worked with no issues.

Cheers mate. It’s getting as far as loading the game initially sonIm wondering what the actual problem is. I had it running nicely on my Wii, so I’m going to have a look at the layout of the card in that and see if there’s anything from that which maybe identifies the problem.

ive just remembered i dont have a card reader handy so i cant look :fp:

I remember the requirements being very specific though, like down to how big the clusters of your SD card were etc, so make sure you've got all that spot on.

I’ve managed to sort it. Got to the point where I have a Nintendont forwarder in the WiiU home screen that lets me use the game pad as a screen and controller. So good.

Tonight’s project is to get n64 injectors working. Looks fairly simple.

Any idea the biggest SD card I can use? Only using a 16gig at the moment, but want more space for GameCube games.

Anyone able to put either (or both of) the Def Jam games for GC into the folder?

Apparently Hyperkin have made a light gun (specifically a Zapper) that works with modern TVs.
