For a game as old as it is it's held up well, even the Gamecube version looked superb on Dolphin emulator.

Slowly progressing along in Breath Of The Wild, I really didn't expect it to be so bloody huge.

Pikmin 3 and Smash Bros was a bust, couldn't get the ones I'd downloaded to work. Super Mario Bros U worked like a charm and looks great with graphics packs. Cemu IMO works great for anything other than Breath Of The Wild.

Yeah from what I played it was locked to 30fps.

First Divine Beast done. Some crazy terrible graphics artifacting though :dread:

Think I need to hit some shrines as its been a bit on the tough side with just 4 hearts :fp:

Spent about 4 hours running about, finding Shrines and collecting orbs (managed 11 or 12 in that time) and working my way to the towers to unlock map sections. Not a single crash in all that time either, when it works it works great.

Really need some new threads though :shifty:

How about the PS3 Metal Gear games? They playable? Wouldn't mind going through HD Collection and Guns of the Patriots again.

Despite being an advocate for emulation you all realise that PS3s are a thing right?

Are you playing pirated downloads of PS games or do they run directly from the discs?

Yes?

Are we on neogaf now?

Yes I am aware it's available on ps3, I have it installed and sat under my main tv. My main interest is a resolution and frame rate boost, then hopefully texture mods.

I think you replied to the wrong person, I'm asking if the emulator can run games from the disks.

Yes?

I imagine that would depend on if you had a bluray drive in your pc or not.

I wasn't having a go by the way and I couldn't give a gooseberry fool about piracy. I was just curious as to why people want to emulate something so readily and relatively cheaply available.

I use emulators a lot myself but only really as far as the 16 bit era and the occasional US PlayStation game.

Can someone tell me what are the current emulators of choice are on Android? I don't mind having to pay a few quid for something decent like ePSXe.

I paid for FPSe years ago and it works fine. Dunno if ePSXe is any different. Mupen 64 plus AE is free I think for N64. I paid for Robert Broglia's .emu ports of 8 and 16 bit emulators cos well they are flawless.

If I had a spare HDMI port on my TV I'd be interested in trying the latest shield TV. I hear it handles the android version of dolphin like a champ.

Most people might not have a PS3 hooked up anymore. Some might have had a YLOD. .

Annoyingly enough my 40GB PS3 (500gb HDD) I got back in 2008 bit the bullet 2 days ago with the red light of death. My stepdaughter used it since getting a PS4 and she's left it surrounded by gooseberry fool and never cleaned it.
