Haha I'm currently figuring out how I can fit a crt in my games room! I have little experience in knowing what to buy when getting one, there's so many options! Any tips? (possibly a question for the Retro Chat thread!)

I’ve heard good things about Sony Trinitrons.

OK, I've looked online, but found nothing. It's something I mentioned during the Mega Man Legends and Apocolypse streams. When playing PS1 titles on Retroarch, if I use the analogue sticks or I use inputs quickly the game gets really slow. How do I sort it?

I’ve added a few games to the SNES folder over at Google Drives specifically Actraiser 2, Arcana, Brain Lord, E.V.O., Paladin’s Quest, Robotrek and 7th Saga.

I have loads of ROMs across multiple formats (NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, Mega CD, 32X, TurboGrafx/PC Engine) so if anybody wants anything specific adding let me know and I’ll see if I have it.

If anybody is interested in such things I’m also adding a folder of NES manuals.

I really miss manuals. Whenever I bought a new game as a kid I always read the manual on the bus home.

Same. It was part of the excitement.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I used to love reading the manuals in bed on the day I got the game.

Have you got the GB game that Links Awakening was based off with an English translation? I can't remember the name of it

If you've got access to the drive (I can't remember who does at this point  ) that's already in there.

Check the "Hacks & Translations>Translations>Game Boy" folder for it.
It's called "Kaeru no Tame Ni Kane wa Naru" or "The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls".

It's very different from LA though, so don't go in expecting the same style of game.

I do have access to this fabled drive, but didn't find it when I looked because I'm rubbish... Thanks for pointing it out. That's a few hours tomorrow sorted!

For Frog the Bell Tolls I believe was made as a prototype for link's Awakening, well, I think. Maybe.

It's strawberry floating ace though.

The GDP has always been on my radar but at that price I'm not sure if I can justify it for what I'll end up playing on it. I've just pulled out my old Huawei P10. Never got round to selling it after I upgraded.

I have a mobile phone attachment for my 8bitdo SNES Pro controller so I've reset it up as a pure emulation machine with a file manager linked to my cloud storage and RetroArch.

Bare in mind it's got a pretty respectable processor in the Kirin 960, an octacore processor running at 2.4ghz and 1.8ghz and 4gb DDR4 ram. I would expect this thing to have pretty good performance on most things really!

When it's all put together it isn't quite as sleek at the GDP clamshell design it will still do a job!

How have you found the pocket go? I've heard they suffer with pretty bad screen tearing? The RG350 looks great and has rave reviews so far! But BittBoy are due to release the new pocket go to rival the RG350 so will be interesting to keep an eye on things!

The PocketGo does have some screen tearing issues, and resolution scaling can be a bit odd for some systems. But for the price, the build quality and performance are decent enough.

I'm not sure I would go for another dedicated retro handheld for a while now. Got enough that works. Plus as mobiles become more and more powerful it's always going to be possible to use an old phone as a portable emulation solution, especially the ones you can hook up to a TV.

And after mentioning that the other day, one of the emulation hardware channels I follow did a video on just that.

It may not be big or clever, but stylin' on people in Call of Duty Mobile using the Bluestacks Android emulator with a mouse and keyboard is a lot of fun.

Anyone able to add F-Zero Climax to the folder if they have it? Was considering buying. A copy then I saw the price. Eye watering!
