Becomes tough when you get to disc images, I do find I tend to curate those collections a bit more for that reason

Though I've still ended up with Bubsy 3D, Simpsons Wrestling and Space Jam in the PS1 folder :shifty:

Been trying out the latest test version of mGBA, which has a resolution scaling option in its enhancements tab:

Similar to recent developments in SNES emulation, it means that any mode 7/sprite scaling+rotation shenanigans will look so much better defined. It's a marvel on 4k telly! Can't wait until it gets incorporated into the Retroarch mGBA core.

Very nice. Need to look into that myself I think.

I'm not too familiar with iOS but I think you can as long as it's Jailbroken. You'd need to do some proper investigation into it though.

Android is really the place to go for portable emulation on phones and tablets right now. iOS is a bit too walled garden.

There's not many GBA games I can still manage to play but I'lll definitely be trying that emulator.

So, uh, I know where to drive to if I want to play games...

Might anyone know where I can drive to if I wanted to, say, watch a film...?

Is PS Vita emulation a thing that exists?

Not as far as I know unfortunately.

PSP emulation is really good though (PPSSPP).

I noticed there are a few n64 magazine scans, but quite a lot missing. Anyone able to add any more? I would love to look through them all.

Anyone got any experience of the Pseudo Saturn Kai?

It's basically a flashed Action Replay Saturn Cartridge that then allows you to play CD-R burned game backups or other region games on original Saturn hardware. I only found out about it yesterday but it's piqued my interest given the somewhat naff state of Saturn emulation on small scale hardware like the Pi.

Oh nice, had seen this one before:

But that's obviously with a higher barrier of entry, needing console mod and such.

Developments like this are such a boon for the going the original hardware route, especially for a system like the Saturn; absolutely no need to limit oneself on the system's immense library due to the expense of many of its gems.

I knew about the Rhea and Phoebe but they're a lot more expensive and need you to do some physical modification to the console. Think the last time I looked it was about £120 for the mod, and prices of Saturn consoles seem to have shot up quite a bit compared to some other retro consoles.
The advantage they have though is that you remove the issue of disc drive failure, which is going to be an increasing concern on these older consoles.

I downloaded mGBA just to see if it had vsync and it does. Whoever made these videos needs to turn it on...

Oof, I just looked up the prices of a Saturn with a Phoebe pre-installed. They're going on eBay for £400-500 minimum.

Why do they need to turn v-sync on? Thought that was to stop screen tearing and I didn't see any in that video.

I just went back and re-watched it and it's fine this time...it must have been my computer...
