There's a lovely chap out there named Chris Devlin (not to be confused with Cheeky Devlin, two totally different people) that will sort you out.

Not emulation but thought it'd be related since you won't need to emulate Super Mario 64 on PC now that it has a PC port (unless you wanted to play the romhacks).

Played a tiny bit of it myself, seems good.

Where can one locate this port? I had a quick google last night but came up with nothing :(

Just giving this a quick bump to say how amazing EmuVR is and to say thanks for the link share with google drive. Currently getting myself ready to fire up Virtua Cop at lunch on Saturn in VR!

EmuVR is ok, but it's certainly not intuitive/user friendly to get set up and get to grips with the control methods when exclusively using VR controllers.

WHAT?!

This sounds amazing!
I'd spend hours and hours and hours on the Saturn Light Gun Games as a kid.
Virtua Cop
Virtua Cop 2
House of the Dead
Die Hard Trilogy
Area 51

It's one Genre I miss SO much! :(

Lets face it, the genre peaked with Typing of the Dead. ;)

Not gonna lie, I'm seriously considering buying a VR setup solely for that.

It's impressive, certainly, but realistically it's not something you're ever likely to sit down to play something in for more than 5-10 minutes.

But yeah, I got bored of it after a few minutes when the novelty wore off.

I would state an exception to that would probably be light gun games which would probably work quite well as Qikz has found.

Light Gun games are the only reason I'm getting it set up. If I was going to play regular emulated games I'll just use an actual TV or monitor.

On the subject of emulating on an actual TV, does anyone have much experience with retroarch shaders?

I'm trying to find a decent one for Megadrive games. And by decent I mean one that looks like complete gooseberry fool as if I were playing through an RF cable on the crappy Bush 13" CRT I had when I was like seven.

I think I was using one of the "crt-royale" last time I played RetroArch and that gave a suitably authentic shitty look. Most of them just seem to add crappy scanlines that look nothing like a real CRT

I've tried Royale and it's pretty close, but it doesn't do enough to blur checkerboard patterns for that dithering effect.

I've been using it a lot to play actual games. The way the CRT looks is so nice and while you get the same feeling on a monitor, EmuVR as an environment just feels really nice.

tfw you want to play Katamari Damacy via the Play core but it runs like gooseberry fool as the Core isn't perfect yet. I think SSX Tricky might end up with the same issue.

Standalone PCSX2 is going to work far better than the Retroarch core. Anything PS2/GC gen onwards really should use a dedicated emulator right now.
