I remember watching that Zelda trailer in my halls in Uni and getting goosebumps

Shame the game didn't live up to that trailer :shifty:

Did it not? That's a shame, I best sell my GC copy.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

After that E3, I had a badge on my college backpack of Shigsy in his Zelda pose and no one knew who or what he was. :|

Not for me. I did enjoy TP overall but I didn't really like the wolf/twilight bits and I found it a bit of a slog to get through. If Ocarina hadn't come before it I might have found it more exciting. It is the weakest of the 3D Zeldas for me, which I'm sure many will disagree with due to Skyward Sword.

It'll be a real shame to see E3 go as even in a bad year it's a lot of fun to watch. That said I would imagine they'll give it another couple of throws of the dice before completely revamping it and moving out of LA or going digital only.

If the future is digital only I really hope we someone finds a better way of doing it as last year was absolutely crap. There's plenty of room for creative audience engagement and participation. Nintendo Direct style videos have been pretty lacklustre for a while now and need someone to shake them up again. The sort of tired announcements you get in these pre hyped videos usually leave a lot to be desired.

Yeah this is what I think as well.

The only one I can vividly remember is Sony's humiliating "giant enemy crab, flip it over for max damage" & "Riiiiiiiiiidge Racerrrrrrrr!!" show.

The very first E3. Sony destroying Sega by having the president of SCEA walk onto the stage, say "two ninety-nine", and walk off again.

Yeah last years alternate ‘summer of games festival’ or whatever it was called was just bad, an all digital event should work but I’d like a similar format to E3, where all of the digital events are over a few days rather than a few months.

Grown men wetting their frillies over Zelda. So good. I still get chills.

I have this 4:3 trailer saved in QuickTime format somewhere

But that one is missing the "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! WOOOOOOOOO!" Which is a classic.

Kaz was the best. In retrospect it was pretty genuine

The Twilight Princess reveal is up there with my all time favourite E3 moments

The only other one that’s come close is the full trailer for Breath of the Wild.
