Dappy is a far bigger star than Little Mix. Dappy is the Bowie of our times.

Who in the blue hell is Cascada, I can't even remember. This is like when seeing someone from school and they're moderately excited to see you and you've not got a strawberry floating clue who they are.

I mean...I still listen to Len - Steal My Sunshine regularly and it's just a random hit from the millenium. It's not that great, but I strawberry floating love it as it takes me back to a time and a place. People will do that with Adele, Gaga, and Sheeren that's for sure.

It's surprising how fast EDM went to gooseberry fool in the mid-00s, the golden age seems to be the mid-late 90s with the likes of Moby, Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers Underworld and Chicane.

The only current DJ that's doing anything good is Deadmau5, the likes of Aviici, Calvin Harris and Skrillex are Alice Deejay levels of trash.

I don't even like Deadmau5.

The only recent ish EDM (I hate that term) act I've heard that I like is Kavinsky but even then most of his output sticks to the same Synthwave sounds and just gets boring after a while, there's just no real variety to it aside from the one track with someone rapping over it which doesn't work.



There's something about this track that always makes me skip it.

It's strange which songs stay remembered and which don't. Is it due to chart success, or is there more to it such as a catchy melody.

If you buy any of Len's albums the line notes talk about how pissed they've gotten between albums.

A Catchy melody applies to these songs from the 90's & early 00's also they still sound good even now imo.

The first one of those still sounds good because the main riff is from RHCP's Pretty little ditty, which is superb.



The second one is heavily rumoured (possibly confirmed) to be a Daft Punk side project.

There are a number of stories from Canadian music ITKs to suggest that LEN are a collection of wankers. Which would be a shame if true, because Steal My Sunshine is an absolutely banging song.
