I'd be over the bloody moon if we can get PC games working on a console through XCloud.

They won't. Just look at how bad the settings menu is in Windows 10. It's garbage. Give me back control panel!

From memory, Control Panel was pretty much perfect as it was simple to use and not overly fussy.
Everything was within a couple of clicks and it was fairly logically laid out.

I don't think I ever thought it could use a major upgrade but obviously, my memory is gooseberry fool so I could just be completely wrong.

Control Panel was, but in every update for Windows 10 they've moved features from it to Settings, but then it sends you to settings and in some places adds to clicks to get to the exact same menu you would've got to before. It's complete trash. God I hate it.

I just realised that I prefer the retro style of Windows over the shiny new look.

It would be interesting to see what the consensus here is of how do you like Windows to look (as opposed to just pure functionality) as it can be quite different.
If I was going to use Windows now I think I'd choose an old fashioned windows 98 look if that's available.

Yes!

Windows 11 will be available as a free update to existing Windows 10 users - although some devices will not have the right specifications. These include a minimum of 64 gigabytes of storage and 4 gigabytes of RAM.

Game Pass will be pre-installed.

Similar, the "classic" Windows 2000 UI is my favourite. So much easier to discern UI elements compared to the new flat style of buttons, textfields and so on. They don't even use sufficient colour to help, Mac OS went semi-flat but at least has decent colour contrast. Shame they finally removed it as an option in Windows 10.

What are you getting sent to Settings for exactly? I still just use control panel for everything as I've always done

If you need to get to the domain join option just press Windows Key + Pause/Break and you're in the system properties screen immediately.

Yeah I still do domain stuff from "Control Panel > System" which has been the case basically forever

Microsoft should really advertise the usefulness of the Windows key a lot more.

I've got mine switched off with the game mode button on my keyboard.

That doesn't work for me anymore, you do control panel > system and it opens the settings menu on the latest versions of Windows 10 pro :x
