I was just watching some videos and my interest grew, then the Avatards appeared :| Seriously Microsoft? Why?

That is pretty sad.

Indeed. Every single tweet of his is also about WP7, and every morning he posts about 7 different news stories about apps for WP7 no-one could possibly ever care about.

I was going to consider getting one, but then I got an iPhone 4 :shifty: Maybe if Microsoft bought the Zune HD out over here, I'd get one of those :x

Because you don't like them.

Yes because if you've ever used WinMo 6.x you will know Microsoft NEED this to work.

I quite like the 'Words' UI. It made wonderful sense on the Zune and the Zune HD is probably the best Media player ever made. Heck for the last 5 years MS have made much better Media Players than Apple.

The best thing about WP7 is the LIVE functionality. Messaging your friends' 360s for free and being able to maintain Tags, Friends, Profiles and your Avatar is pretty cool.

Would I buy one? No. I love webOS far too much.

I care as much as I care about iPhones.

No.

Purely from a memory perspective, though. I love the big screens on the Zune. It just beggars belief that they don't make a Zune HD with a HDD :x They'd steal everyone who's ever contemplated purchasing an iPod touch.

Is that a smiley button. I personally don't like the way it looks and MS would have to work pretty hard to get me to upgrade to one of their phones. I currently have a HTC Desire with 2.2 and it works fine for me.

I'm interested but only in terms of being an observer for now. First generation tech tends to have flaws and be undersupported (not that I'm an expert or anything).

I really want a proper smartphone when I upgrade at the end of the month. :(

Remember all the reports and crying troll you did in the many Apple threads? Yeah, don't become what you hate ;)

Don't get me wrong, I applaud Microsoft for not including flash. It's a waste of time (although they could have at least tried to include Silverlight). I'm just laughing at how he completely ignores the question.

The Windows phone actually looks like a really nice piece of kit. It's a toss up though between this and an Android phone for me at the moment.

Android is a much better supported platform as well as having more functionality, the only thing drawing me to a Windows 7 phone is the Live functions, but then I see Avatards.

There is an option to turn it off.
