Genuinely curious. Never known a seer outed so early survive so long

The assumption was that he'd be protected and that attempting to kill him early would reveal that he'd be attacked and protected, doing away with any possible suspiciousness.

Less of an issue in the late game where I presume TAP was using the Witch Doctor protection to avoid getting kills as he'd suggested in PMs.

Dan, what would have happened to Half Wolves who flipped sides, but survived to the end if the game, if the humans had won?

So when were the wolves aware of the witch doctor? Surely day two they wouldn’t have known and he would have been prime choice? I missed what day TAP made contact with mommy

They'd have lost.

Thanks for running the game, Dan, you legend :msgreen:.

I'm so glad the Alpha turned out to be TAP .

Shout out to my baes for staying true to the alliance early on  especially Rocsteady who could have easily flipped early on and bagged a seer for the wolves. Not that they had to wait very long for that anyway :slol:.

I don't like the no PMs idea.

Don't sign up to a game if you're going to spit your dummy out when you turn up Human.

Day 1: Mommy was very active so couldn't be killed due to the wolves being limited to inactives.
Day 2: Mayor, protected.
Day 3: Protected by OrangeRKN.
Day 4: Mayor, protected.
Day 5: Protected by Orange RKN.

Repeat ad infinitum until Orange didn't protect him on the penultimate day.

PS: Anyone that wants to see how the Mafia games which didn't allow any PMs whatsoever turned out, here you go.

I personally recommend the end of the second game which features a classic StayDead meltdown.

Forgot about them having to target inactive players. Makes sense. Still ballsy since there was no guarantee at the time of there being a witch doctor

Absolutely, especially considering we haven't really had WD type roles in recent games!

Nah strawberry float that game. The humans were going to win and then Herbi threw in that event which killed 2 of the most active humans, including me who was the witch doctor role. Such strawberry floating bullshit.

Also the reason I was angry in one of the most recent games to that one I was a seer and Aaron, a good guy vigilante poisoned me on Day 1 so I died before I could do anything. I finally had roles in both those games and complete and utter bullshit killed me in both.

I’d be curious to know peoples history of having roles. I think in the last 11 years of games I’ve been vigilante once, seer in an aborted game of are you a pirate and human the rest of the time. Some people seem to get roles a lot more regularly (I’m not questioning Dans RNG)

Ive been a witchdoctor and a seer this time.
The game can still be fun as a human though.

It really shouldn't matter. I actually always breathe a sigh of relief when I'm a regular Human, for a few reasons:

1. I don't have much time to properly play the game as a special role

2. There's less pressure, so I can just do whatever I want, play in whatever style I like and if I die it's no big deal

3. I actually don't like being a scummy wolf — my mission is always to form a strong pact with my fellow Human brothers and fight with honour by their side :datass:

4. Not knowing for certain what's going on at any time is what makes it so entertaining; a megaton isn't a megaton if you already know about it

People need to stop being babies and do the best they can with the card they're dealt.

I prefer games with no pms and I even run games like it - for instance in this game I recieved absolutely no contact from anyone outside of thread not even at the beginning and since nobody was posting anything substantial in the thread be it wolves or humans I couldn't do gooseberry fool. I think Dan did an amazing job running this and grats to Tiarny for the win!

I think I have had a role once. It was a vampire and I died.

Totally agree.

Dunno why people gooseberry fool the bed when they get a human role again - it's kinda the nature of the game that more likely than not, you're not gonna have a special role.

This. All you have to do as a human is compile facts together and post them. Dont post bullshit.
