So this is the group of people that we're looking at for the alpha then - forgive me if I've missed anyone and please let me know if I have. I've discounted SD, Kinopio and Fatdaz for being too loud and visible, Ian for being a half-wolf and therefore ineligible, Mommy and ORKN for their exploits in the seer circle.

I know I'm not the alpha( :slol: ) so it's between Clarky, Pancake, Mcjihge2 and Tiarny for me.

I don't think Jihge is the alpha but that's more gut feeling than logic, and likewise Pancake has voted similarly to me throughout and I've been trying to vote as logically pro-village as possible. Again, this doesn't discount him but it's difficult to know really.

It should be noted though that there's always the chance that Ian is playing a smart game and latching on to the laga/DB role as a way to keep himself alive until Friday. Just as much as there is a chance that Kinopio, Daz or SD have been playing a dangerous game against the lynch, though I think it's fairly unlikely.

It seems clear that the alpha is trying to time the game out by not killing anyone and giving us more bodies to work through, which is a novel scenario that I don't think I've seen in a game like this before - very interesting stuff.

With all of this in mind, I'll run for mayor tonight on the basis of Clarkman and TAP for the lynch.

I am in full agreement with you, happy to vote for you as mayor.

You said that you 'haven't flipped' and then two posts later that you 'can't flip', make up your mind.

I suggested that perhaps we should lynch you after theorising that there may not be an Alpha. Then OR pointed out the dogfather role in the rules which I had forgotten, which makes that theory invalid anyway.

Whatever, flip to a sympathiser role, I thought that could easily be inferred.

I'm not sure how that's different from a human perspective though.

The question is, if you have flipped, what does that mean for our win condition? If we kill the Alpha / final true wolf, would a flipped half wolf prevent us from winning the game?

Any comment on this Rocsteady?

I feel so betrayed. You know I'm not a wolf!

I do suspect Clarkman, so this is still a compelling proposal.

I don't particularly believe that you are the Alpha Dog, Tiarny, my intention is that we lynch Clarkman tonight. Sorry Clarky.

I'm not sure how I feel about the game having a set end point - I feel like it gives the alpha a reason to be essentially inactive and minimises the chance of them slipping up. All they have to do is play the game like a human, minimise thread contact with the seer-able wolves and the chances of being caught are absolutely minimal.

Agreed. It's a nice idea but makes this end phase a little odd. There is no net tightening around the Alpha as he tries to kill us off before we get to him, it's just pot luck really.

Even if I had flipped, from my role pm it's clear I wouldn't be a wolf, as laga mentioned. Either way it's a bit of a moot point as killing me clearly won't win us the game. If we hit an/the alpha in the next two days feel free to use a lynch to kill me if the game hasn't ended but all we'll be getting is another dead human.

Agree we should focus on getting the Alpha, even though we are randomly stabbing in the dark, but if we get the Alpha and the game isn't over, we'll have to assume that you switched and count as a wolf in terms of our win condition.

Just catching up on thread at lunch. It is a real pity that I'm the popular candidate for a lynch, both because I wanted to win the game, and also because it is a precious wasted day.

The excellent point about the Alpha avoiding kills to run down the clock isn't something I even considered, but it does make sense.

I realise there is no concrete evidence on anyone, but I really do feel that #HERBIISTHEFUCKINGALPHA

The Wolf Mafia have struck again!

The villagers find the half-eaten body of Mommy.

He was a Seer.

...

A sombre silence. Then a breeze, and with it, a faint sound, almost a whisper...

What comes with great power?

I just want to say it is definitely not me that killed him even though it does look like that. I am human.

Great Responsibility comes with great power, obviously, but I don’t see how that really helps us. The gif you keep using to announce deaths is from Italian Spider-Man, so maybe it pertains to that.

I'm being 100% genuine in saying I'm human. As much as I disagreed with people before if I was the alpha I would've gotten myself killed ages ago.

Im going to suggest a rule bending plan, so ive quoted Dan to let us know if we cant do this.

Mystical Ninja Starring Danmon wrote:

All players get one vote each in mayor elections and lynch votes.
All roles are randomly assigned.
You may not share your role PM.
You may not share print screens of any PMs you send or receive in relation to this game.
You may not post when dead.
If you do any of the above three things, you'll be booted out of the game instantly, and I reserve the right to ask the mods to do worse to you as punishment.

Sharing your role PM verbatim, screenshots etc is forbidden because it's a guaranteed way to confirm your role to another player with the same role - and therefore defeating the very point of the game.
However, this doesn't mean you're not allowed to reveal your true identity to others, either via PM or publicly.
If you do choose to reveal yourself, you're basically not allowed to prove it. But you're allowed to describe your role, to paraphrase it, and so on.

Could we by means of in-thread, or PM, or other communication ask a "security type" question of the role PM. For example;

Qikz - what is the 3rd letter of he 6th word, and the 1st letter of the 10th word of your role PM? PLEASE DONT DO THIS.
Pancake - what is the 2nd letter of the 4th word and the 1st letter of the 9th word of your role PM? Please dont do this.
etc.

This would corroborate human status with other humans that can confirm the information. And is technically not verbatim. It is open to abuse - wolves may already have this information, player compliance etc, so its not foolproof.

So my question to Dan is can we do this? Sharing is caring.

Probably goes against the spirit of the game - it’s still a verbatim share of role info, even if it’s only a tiny snippet?

Good idea though, let’s see what Dan says!

I'm not on board with using that method, as suspicious as it makes me sound. It is underhand play in a game of logic and intuition.
